Artists everywhere have been making their newest albums available via vinyl more than ever.

Not just old people do it either, it's becoming a hobby that many people do from all walks of life.

This allows for more collecting possibilities, better sound quality, and a nice large disk to flaunt your favorite album with.

So do you do it? Do you make trips to your local record shop? Do you make an effort to get that favorite album of yours on vinyl?

I just started myself. I recently bought Deadmau5's album "4x4=12".

Not really. I mean I have always wanted to collect records but I have never had the extra money to do so. If I ever get to where I have money I can blow one day I might consider buying some records but other than that, it will have to wait. I have always thought it was cool how people fall into different trends. It's just the works of things though. Hopefully one day I can follow into all these trends but the trends will probably be over by then.

I love Vinyl. The sound is great. Certainly better than buying that crud on iTunes. No compression=the way the band/artist wanted you to hear their music in the first place. It's a more expensive hobby, but one that is more true to music itself.

I have an old record player from the Cold War era, pulled out from somewhere behind the Iron Curtain. 

I'm fascinated with the thing, and I love to collect vinyl records and listen to how music was all those years ago. It's great to see the hobby return in recent years.

The last album I bought was Smash (The Offspring), and only to have it in my collection. Otherwise I don't pay as much attention to music as I used to do. If anything, I get most of it over Youtube and create playlists according to when that tune was popular.

I don't buy them, but my parents do. We have a really old record player (that maybe still works) and we have a whole lot of records that we could play on it. It is really cool, as I haven't seen any other record players in my life time, they are just so rare lol.

I have never bought a record before but I did want to have one at one point when my dad use to be a dj.

He has a library of old records that he doesn't really play / touch anymore because he no longer has turntables. The turntables eventually stopped working dude to age. My dad doesn't really have the extra money to upgrade his equipment sadly. So he normally listens to his music from the pc.

We have a cabinet full of old records thanks to dad and grandpa's hobby. They'll start playing classical music/instrumental records and the whole household will hear the music (usually on Sundays). I'm not sure if they'd be happy with me suddenly using the player for current musics though. For one thing, dad hates hard rock musics.
