I loved watching frozen and I still do. I loved the songs there but other people have turned it to something else. Like too many people do cosplay if it. Or like youtube videos of it. Its really too much to the point that it has become quite annoying. But still do love the movie. I agree what some people have to say here about frozen. Personally I am not surprised that they are sick with all of everything to do with frozen. Even in shopping stores. Frozen yogurt and more. What is next to be created which will annoy more people? :/

Next time you hear the lyrics, I suggest you consider this: It's actually about flatulence.  Yes, "Let it Go" is actually about releasing farts.  I mean think about it!  "Couldn't keep it in, Heaven knows I tried..."

THINK OF THE IMPLICATIONS!

OK I need to let this out. I went out yesterday with my mum to go and buy baking stuff and whatnot. Then we went to a pound shop. I saw frozen stuff like literally cups, plates. Knifes and forks, flasks, pack lunch box's, pencil case, pens, pencils, rubbers, even olaf pillows. I saw bed things for it as well. And I was really mad I said. They are killing the film by doing this! I still love the film but this is far beyond compare. And they have made it so overrated to the point that its sad. It really is.

I literally see Frozen everywhere, dolls, backpacks, blankets, school supplies, just about everything you can think of. The movie was good, but I never expected it to blow out of proportions to the degree that it did. It's funny because the entire plot is pretty similar to lion king if you think about it. I've never seen a movie produce quite the variety and quantity of merchandise that this movie did. It's ridiculous. Expect the same amount of hype and obsession to come with the second Frozen. God help us all.

Eniitan : Olaf pillows? XD, I saw a whole bunch of Frozen products when I did my back to school shopping. You couldn't by a sticky note without it being a Frozen product.

The movie and the songs themselves aren't bad, it's just you've seen Frozen so many times everywhere, and you've heard to songs so many times, that you're just you're sick of it. I don't understand how Frozen became so popular, it's the most popular Disney movie of all time.

I actually loved the song when I first heard it in a video. I was also very happy that the movie it came from was doing so well. However I actually grew to dislike the song after it got played every single time you could say cheese and while I was initially glad the movie was a success, there is no way it's better than the Lion King nor does it deserve this much attention.

I've heard it my fair share personally, but the song(s) really aren't that bad. I don't mind listening to any of them, and honestly I pretty much don't mind and Disney song. Growing up I heard them a lot, and I guess I just don't get annoyed with that type of music at this point.

As a matter of fact, I'm weird in the sense that I really don't get tired of any song. I can still listen to a song if it's on repeat for 8 hours straight - which has basically been done on my trip from Florida to up north. It was the same 5 songs on repeat because my radio was broken and I only had a burnt CD with.. well, only 5 songs.

Side note, I still have yet to actually see the movie. I know, what am I doing with my life haha!

Personally, I don’t think the songs for Frozen are that annoying or crazy, even on continuous loop. (However, I’m one of those people that can listen to the same songs on repeat for weeks on end, even though I don’t tend to read or watch anything more than once.) The main problem I see with the songs is how their lyrics can potentially teach children that it’s okay to alienate their friends and family (for instance, there’s one part that goes, “turn away and slam the door, I don’t care what they’re going to say”). I get the feeling that many people like the song just for lines like those, but in the overall scheme of life, a theme that promotes isolation is not beneficial to anyone, even the listener themselves. Certainly, one could say that the songs are actually about empowerment and freedom, but with the way the lyrics are presented, the songs mostly comes across as unfriendly, uncaring, and even estranging to me. Perhaps the songs were originally intended to be antagonistic (if Frozen was supposed to have been based on the story of the Snow Queen) so that’s why they’re so negative on some levels, but if the storyline had been changed halfway through production, then do the songs really need to retain so much negativity?

Actually, even as a woman, I don’t fully understand how Frozen is considered “empowering.” I can see they were trying to change the theme for once (that only came across at the very end, but barely), but overall, the film seemed to be making fun of women. =/ To me, it seemed like they were saying girls can’t come up with any good plans (even if they had been secluded in a castle, they should have at least read some books about the outside world? or what were they wasting their time on, and should that really be in any Disney film?), they can only escape from whatever is bothering them, and they are completely incompetent when given positions of power. Even if you try to negate all of the above with the end of the film, there were just some things that were so egregiously and painfully problematic in the storyline that it’s too difficult to ignore, even barring logic.

1. So Elsa has a frightening ice power, and that’s it? Pardon me for sounding harsh, but does this mean she’s not going to learn how to overcome her difficulties and learn to control it, even though she’s supposed to become a queen someday? For someone that’s supposed to be more privileged than the others in their country, she certainly didn’t act according to her station. Also, her parents never thought to let her out of the castle into the wild where she could learn to control her powers with help of the trolls? Sure, we can chalk some of Elsa’s behaviors up to bad parenting, but that doesn’t mean Elsa can’t try to think for herself after her parents left. After all, she made all of those snowmen inside the castle and that takes imagination. Did she just shut off her mind after Anna got hurt once? She never even thought to try to make it up to Anna somehow, someday? No matter how I look at it, Elsa does not appear to be an inspiration as an empowered or empowering person. If anything, she’s channeling how being a helpless queen is acceptable, even in her society where men would try to kill her just for a throne. None of it makes any sense! ><

2. Anna sees the first guy she likes and wants to marry him. Love at first sight is not unprecedented in the Disney films, but Elsa does get the chance to veto the guy, so everything is still okay by modern standards. However, right after Anna makes her announcement, Elsa decides to run away? Sorry to all the Elsa fans, but no matter how I look at it, her behavior was NOT consistent with that of an older sibling, no matter what kind of justification one comes up with. One simply does NOT leave their younger sister alone with the guy that you just vetoed. Would you leave your kid brother or sister alone to be taken advantage of by some random stranger, even if you thought you were in danger of being hated by said sibling (or even your entire kingdom) for your ice powers? I was even beginning to think the story was written by people that had never been older siblings in their life. Not only did Elsa running away from her kingdom make her look irresponsible, it also showed how well she could make bad decisions. Escape is not the way to show how someone, male or female, is empowered at all. To make matters worse, they had to send an army just to bring her back, rather than letting her come to her senses on her own. Only if Elsa returned of her own free will once she realizes that she’s being irresponsible will there be growth as a character, and none of that was presented at all.

3. As for Anna, she does learn gradually, but too little and not fast enough. She was correct in thinking her sister shouldn’t have run off without her, but to pursue her irresponsible sister, she left her kingdom to some random stranger that she had just met. Wait… what…? This shows a lack of good decision-making skills as well. (By the way, who had been taking care of the kingdom before Elsa ascended to the throne? Was this ever really addressed in the story? Why didn’t that person/group of people try to seize the throne for himself/herself/themselves, since that’s the trend with most of the other Disney stories, and that actually does make sense? The stories that instantly come to mind would be Robin Hood (Prince John, who attempted to usurp the throne but failed) and The Lion King (Scar, who actually did take over Pride Rock). However, we can cut Anna some slack because she loves the guy she just met (there is something to being blind when you’re in love, and thus you could make bad decisions based on that), and also because her heart was in the right place when she went after her only remaining family member. She just made a bad decision about who should be watching her kingdom while she went to bring Elsa back (she could have left her kingdom to her friends in the court instead). All things considered, Anna probably grew the most as a character, or rather, was the only one who actually showed any real progress. She actually learned her lessons, and would have died for them, if it wasn’t that the spells were merciful towards her. A female protagonist like her in most of the other stories (Snow White doesn’t count, because she was saved by the Prince), however, would probably already really be dead, so I say, she didn’t really learn fast enough. Anna took a leap of faith like Mulan did, entered a realm she was not familiar with, and came back having learned how to survive. However, unlike Mulan who would have been killed if it wasn’t that she had created her own chance to survive via “a life for a life,” Anna hadn’t created that kind of second chance for herself, so I think the animation artists that wrote the story and made that merciful spell were just being really kind to her to make up for the fact that she wasn’t learning fast enough.

Overall, there were so many problems with this story that I couldn’t keep up with them all, but these were the ones that made me really wonder if Frozen was truly a Disney film. What happened to all the morals and thoughtful social commentaries Disney usually imparts to their viewers, young and old alike? Were they simply removed for the sake of “special effects?” In that case, I’d rather they remove all of the “special effects” from their current films and bring back the storylines that teach what really matters in life. It really worries me that millions of young girls, if they do emulate Frozen, might copy those “slam the door, don’t need to care about anyone,” or “in your face” types of attitudes which are only going to hurt them in the long run until they realize Elsa is actually a terrible role model.

As for whether or not I'm going to continue to listen to the Frozen songs, I think I'll wait to see if Frozen 2 is better than Frozen before deciding to "let it go" completely. ^^0

If they'd let go of Frozen I'd be happy. Mainly due to the fact that a lot of people assume I"D LOVE IT, (Seen it twice and just cannot make it through the movie) but all things aside when one loves an anime, cartoon, or anything like Frozen, (MLP for example) a lot of my friends think I'll love Powerpuff Girls to Frozen. I enjoyed watching the movie on TV, the songs are good. I seen the movie again on a different channel, still the songs are good. Than I started hearing the " Let it go " song during many Frozen TV commercials, I also hear them on the radio as well. I left my TV on a movie channel and Frozen came on again and thought " Hmm...". I go on the internet and I often see many meme's relating to the song. I somehow get lead to the video's of the song being sung in many languages. I go to the store and see things having Frozen characters on them like Q-tip holders and nail polish. I just think that 's unnecessary. You don't need Frozen characters on the dang nail polish, especially since the color of the nail polish isn't anything special. At least Let it go wasn't stamped on the bottle .. I think my eye would have twitch if it did haha.

After watching Frozen I always end up hearing Let it go every now and than. The song slightly annoys me, if I was tied to a chair and had to listen to one song for 72 hours straight, I wouldn't want it to be this song. I'll probably end up singing" Let me go ! Let me go ! "

I somehow get lead to the video's of the song being sung in many languages. tRIUNE : I said this two months after the movie was released, Disney would be literally be throwing away money if they didn't make it, and they already have 50% of the assets from the previous movie so a slightly lower budget is there.

I would be the worst business decision this century if they didn't make it.
I just pray that they don't just milk the cow and come out with something worthwhile.

I thought the movie was alright, but nothing super special, I liked Inside Out better. Same for the song, it was alright, but nothing special to me. But I usually tend to not like cartoons at all outside of pixar and am more anime so my points don't really count as valid.

I didn't think it was a bad movie or that the songs were particularly annoying, at least no more than any other Disney song we heard over and over.... and over...
I think there are people that don't like it now that it is popular to dislike it or they are forgetting that, while it may be enjoyable for older audiences, Disney movies are primarily made for children.
So the songs are going to be rather simplistic and repetitious.

IT'S TIME TO STOP THE FROZEN HATE! I think if you truly hate it, ignore it and it will go away.

I agree with Vane totally. It's one of those Disney Princess movies, once it's released, you'll see a bunch of merchandise related to that movie.

The thing is that as long it doesn't annoy me to death, then it's not too much of a problem to me, as long as it stays at the girl toys or the party stuff, I got no problem. My niece does like Frozen and it doesn't really bother me a whole lot because she likes it and all. I still think it could be lighten up a tad bit because it was a movie that was made in 2013 (I think), so maybe by this time that people thought that Frozen started to get a little old till the 2nd Frozen movie in the works, so yeah.

All and all, I don't really care about Frozen, but doesn't mean I hate it.

The movie was good. The songs were good.
The only thing bad that came from it were the people who whine about it 24/7.
