Waffles are my favorite. I like Belgium waffles though, not the store bought stuff. However, I do like both. Pancakes have a better flavor and they are fluffier. But waffles have holes that hold syrup, which is pretty great.

On one hand, pancakes are soft and fluffy while waffles are crunchier....If I had to choose, I would have to go with waffles, because the syrup doesn't slide off as much, and they have a better overall texture than pancakes in my opinion. I have pancakes a lot more often than I have waffles, but whenever I do have waffles, the taste is quite delightful.

Tough one. I have to say pancakes, because I prefer homemade pancakes to homemade waffles (although I do like frozen waffles better). In restaurants it's usually a toss up. Some have great waffles while others have great pancakes.

I'm not sure what all he put in them, but his always tasted better than anyone else's. Sometimes when we didn't have any milk, he'd use orange juice in the batter instead, which really tasted good! Every time I go to IHOP, I immediately think of my dad and his pancakes. I know this sounds crazy but I've never had pancakes at IHOP because they just don't taste the same. Its like pizza from Johnny's...once you've had pizza from Johnny's you won't want to go anywhere else for pizza again.

I generally like waffles more.
