I've found the best stage is allways your traditional battlefield, ground and three platforms in a side by side order with the center raised. What stage that is though just depends on the game.

I main Link, so I love Battlefield to death. His sword reach can extend through the platforms above him, and his dair is pretty effective as well against less prepared opponents. Bombs can be placed for strong effectiveness on this stage, as well. I do love me a creative stage, though. My favorite used to be Pokemon Stadium (or 2).

I like Battlefield a lot. I don't know what it is, but there's just something about it that makes me play most of my matches on it. I also enjoy Final Destination. I was really excited when I heard that Smash 4 was going to have a Final Destination form for all stages. But, I like Battlefield more.

I'd say my favourite stage would be Gamer from the WiiU version.
The idea of paying close attention to the background of the stage as well as the players is a fun one, and it requires striking at the right time to make full use of Mom. (Plus, I just really enjoy the stage).
Second is probably the Kalos league for just being awesome and having the stage hazards not too intrusive.

   My favorite was always the Pokémon Stadium stages. None of the transformations are ever too bad in terms of distractions. I think it's a good mix of simple designs and fun, more crazy stages. My favorite of the transformations is the wind one, since it makes everything floaty while over it. It's pretty cool.
   But lately, I've been doing a lot more battles on Fountain of Dreams on Project M, and I actually like playing on it more than the Pokémon stages now. It's simple, has some moving platforms, and has one of the best songs in Smash, being a great Kirby remix. The stages looks terrific, too.

My favorite in Melee was the Pokémon Stadium stage. I didn't play Brawl that much but Final Destination was an instant favorite. In Smash 4 I have many they are Kalos Pokémon League, Windy Hill Zone, Wily Castle and Gaur Plain.

Well I only played the newest one... But I enjoy playing on the boxing arena since it's basically perfect for a one on one match up with little obstacles (the lights above the arena just falls down if hit multiple times) and then the gamer level would be second favorite. Who doesn't want to use the mom as an advantage? Plus little obstacles but bigger for more players.

I have a few favorites. I've always liked Pokémon Stadium 2 from Brawl/Wii U. It's a pretty fun level. The changes are nice also. I also like Mario Galaxy because of the pure epicness of the music. And the Boxing Ring is always a fun level to play in. And last but not least; Onett in Melee, Brawl, and Smash 4. That level is always lots of fun. I'm starting to play more of Gamer and Kalos Pokémon League also.

I've recently taken a liking to Gerudo Valley in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS . It's funny when the CPU falls when the bridge suddenly breaks, and I love it when the Twinrova either freeze or burn either side of the stage. You have to move fast, and I love moving fast in video games xD!

You fall in the river in DK's house stage, which can result a KO (unless you were extremely lucky to get back up). So yeah, these are my favorite stages from any Smash game.

I am rather part and partial to Final Destination, I prefer flat arenas for the most part. However I do like fighting on Temple from Brawl, that and I like the Halberd from Brawl as well. Temple is my favorite for just messing around, Halberd for the scenery and laser cannon, and Final Destination purely for focusing on combat.
