Howdy y'all. This is... kind of self promotion, but I also thought you might be interested and I'll try to add some info here that makes it not just spam.

Basically, there's a streamer on Twitch called TheMexicanRunner and he started a challenge to beat every beatable NES game licensed in North America. He's currently beaten 139 of 709. That challenge inspired a bunch of other people to start similar challenges for other consoles. I didn't have that kind of endurance, so I went with one of the smallest console libraries I could think of: Virtual Boy.

Not all of the Virtual Boy games have endings, but I'm still playing all 22 games released in both Japan and the US. As of the writing of this post, I've finished 15. When I play, I stream it to Twitch and then upload the videos to Youtube later. You can check my progress here.

Now for some interesting information regarding the games I've played so far:
Longest game to beat so far : Galactic Pinball, which took close to five hours to get 50 million on one table. Mario Clash would take a long time too if I actually tried to finish all 99 levels, but I didn't since there's not even an ending.

Shortest game to beat so far : Nester's Funky Bowling and Waterworld. Nester's Bowling just has a couple of modes and no ending. Waterworld is an arcade-style game and also has no ending, but the credits roll after you game over no matter how far you get.

Best games : Virtual Boy Wario Land (haven't played it for this challenge yet, but I've played it before and it's fantastic), Innsmouth no Yakata, and Bomberman: Panic Bomber

Worst games : SD Gundam Dimension War (a boring turn based strategy game with hardly any story and incredibly simple and easy gameplay), Nester's Funky Bowling (because it's simple and incredibly light on content)

This is neat, I love anything to do with video game completionism (if that's a word). Whether it be owning every game for a specific console, playing every game for a specific console or, in your case, beating every game for a specific console, this is the type of stuff that interests me.

Once you're finished, you should put together a video briefly showing each completion and your what you think of the entire challenge and its games.

This is neat. It's a pretty good idea. I might have to try something like this one day. I might go for every Lego Game on XBOX 360 or something like that, but even that is far fetched. I've thought about doing things like this before, but I just don't have the drive to go through with it 100% .

Davideo7 : That's a good idea. I was thinking of doing a blog post about it when I was done, but doing a video as well would be good.

I've got 20 / 22 games done now! I've now played a bunch more that are actually good: Jack Bros. (think Binding of Isaac, but not random or disturbing), Space Squash (think 3D pong, but more complex), Teleroboxer (think Punch-Out!!), and Red Alarm (think wire frame Star Fox, but you can stop your movement and turn around if you want).

All I have left to beat are Virtual League Baseball and Virtual Boy Wario Land. Hopefully I'll be done by or on Friday for Smash Bros.. Except I'll still need to make that summary video and post about all the VB games.

Davideo7 :  From what I recall, actually, he already finished. XD That post was made quite awhile ago, when he only had two games left to defeat!

Yup! I finished now, I just didn't want to keep bumping the post. I didn't feel like making a summary video about it, but I did write a decently long blog post ranking each of the 22 games and writing short reviews for each. The gameplay of each game is also up on my Youtube channel.

thing1 : I actually kept track of how long each game took to beat here. The total time was about 49 hours and 20 minutes. The longest game to beat was Virtual League Baseball, which took 5 hours (most of these games are pretty short, as launch games tend to be).

Linkums : Looking at the times, it seems like most of the games were more like Arcade games than anything else. 

Congrats man. It's a huge accomplishment. 

Linkums : I'm a little late to this but I just wanted to say WOW, what an awesome article! These are the kind of articles I love reading. I love that you placed them in order from worst to best, I love that you provided a playthrough video or review for each game, I love the brief to the point description for each game and I love that you kept it all eye appealing by formatting it nicely and adding screenshots of each game. I could easily see this being turned into an actual magazine or book (similar to this book).

You obviously have a great talent for writing interesting articles. I would love to have you write 1 or 2 articles of some sort for vizzed, maybe something I could pay you to do when my budget increases again.

It takes me a good bit of effort and some inspiration to get going, but on a good day I can crank out some decent writing. ...that is to say that I'm not super confident in being able to write well on command. I'm probably just selling myself short though. I'd almost certainly be cool with writing an article for you sometime.

That is great that tou have completed the entire library the VB has offered, although it isn't a big list, but it is still amazing to see axonsole xompleted 100%
