What is the first video game you remember playing? What game got you addicted to video games? My first was Super Mario World on the SNES. Not long after that, i also got hooked on handheld games as well.

The first game I remember playing was Probotector on NES (It's an australian version of Contra.. its available for play in the RGR too) My parents bought me a SNES for christmas one year not long after and it came with SMB All stars which kept me busy for months.

My first game was Super Mario on Nes. My parents told me that my brother and I (we are twins) beat the game around the age of 4 or 5 lol. I didnt believe them when they first told me.

Mine was megaman on my cousin's nes. I never have owned a NES or a SNES. Only had a sega after I started liking video games.

My first video game system was the NES. Before that, though, I had the Commodore64, so it might actually be Rampage for the C64....

I can't remember an actual game for that system that I played... actually, we did have frogger. I remember that game. It wasn't very good but we played it a lot

My first video game was a mario game for the GBA.
It think it was probably a remake of Super Mario World...
I'm not really to sure though.

My first was Mega Man 2 for NES
had a blast playing that game

The first game I ever played was Defender of the Crown for Commodore 64, I think I was 4 or 5 years old and that game taught me how to read. It deffinately got me hooked cause shortly after that we got a SEGA with Sonic, NHL Hockey (93) and Jungle Strike.

My first video games that I remember playing are Yoshi's story and one of the Pokemon games on the n64.

My first video game? I was really young so it's a bit hard to remember, but it actually was the Legend of Zelda for the NES. I guess that would explain my obsession with it.


That got me hooked on games. Pokémon actually got me hooked on RPGs.



Now that I look back, with the exception of the Gamecube(haven't had a chance to buy a Wii yet), the first games I got for consoles were Zelda games & the first games I got for handhelds were Pokémon games. :/


My first game for the Gamecube was actually SSBM, which in turn got me hooked on the Metroid series because I thought it was neat that Samus was a girl. Metroid Prime soon followed.


My first game for the Playstation systems would have been Metal Gear Solid for the PS......which led me back to the NES when I found out Metal Gear was made for it. :/

Man, everyone seems to grow up with a NES. I only have owned a sega. The games I know are mainly Sega. Does anyone remember Sega Channel? I had that.

My introduction to video games was the old Atari. My brothers and I finally got one for christmas about 2 or 3 years after they first came out. I still remember sitting on the floor next to the christmas tree playing "combat" and "missile command" all day!

The first game that i can probaly remember playing would be Super Mario Bros. 3 from the Nintendo NES.

Mine was super mario sun shine and FF cristal cronicals. Good times Good times.

I think the first video game I ever played was Pokemon Yellow - GBC.

Man I must really be old. The very first video "game" I remember was the old pong setup by Texas Instruments, I believe. The console itself was the game... and there were multiple games in it. Tennis, soccer, squash, raquetball, hockey etc etc... you changed the switches so instead of one paddle for tennis, it was 6 different paddles for soccer, or a smaller ball for hockey.

As far as the first game, as in a cartridge, the Atari was my first. Space Invaders. I spent an entire summer mastering that game. I have been addicted ever since.
