The first game I remember playing was Probotector on NES (It's an australian version of Contra.. its available for play in the RGR too) My parents bought me a SNES for christmas one year not long after and it came with SMB All stars which kept me busy for months.

The first game I ever played was Defender of the Crown for Commodore 64, I think I was 4 or 5 years old and that game taught me how to read. It deffinately got me hooked cause shortly after that we got a SEGA with Sonic, NHL Hockey (93) and Jungle Strike.

My first video game? I was really young so it's a bit hard to remember, but it actually was the Legend of Zelda for the NES. I guess that would explain my obsession with it.


That got me hooked on games. Pokémon actually got me hooked on RPGs.



Now that I look back, with the exception of the Gamecube(haven't had a chance to buy a Wii yet), the first games I got for consoles were Zelda games & the first games I got for handhelds were Pokémon games. :/

Man I must really be old. The very first video "game" I remember was the old pong setup by Texas Instruments, I believe. The console itself was the game... and there were multiple games in it. Tennis, soccer, squash, raquetball, hockey etc etc... you changed the switches so instead of one paddle for tennis, it was 6 different paddles for soccer, or a smaller ball for hockey.

As far as the first game, as in a cartridge, the Atari was my first. Space Invaders. I spent an entire summer mastering that game. I have been addicted ever since.
