I crave most things food wise from about 2am to when I actually get out of bed and eat something.
Pretzels, they're reasonably high on the list but I usually want toast. 

The problem is, when it's around 5am I don't have the strength to get out, I just have to lie in bed and let my stomach ache and make funny noises.

Argh.. I hate late night cravings. Stomachs can be rather moody either during the night or school with their growls and that magnificent stuff. For some reason, I kept eating sliced boiled eggs for every late night that I was up. They tend to do the trick and keep me full longer than lovely snacks.

I'm usually awake at 5am mostly, Unless i have to actually do something the next day then I'll actually try to do the impossible which is to abide by a normal sleeping pattern. 

For me it's normal to eat something around 5am.. Mainly because it helps me sleep (having a full stomach helps you sleep) But if your not an idiot like me i assume a lot of people do it because they are having too much fun on the Internet or whatever else they are doing and they don't really react to hunger as quickly as someone would do if they had nothing to focus on. 

As for the snack being pretzels.. Nope I've never had them at 5am... We rarely eat pretzels over in the UK at all to be honest... I haven't had any in a good 2-3 years at least..
