Around 4 PM today I decided I was going to start exercising! I started out with the usual stretches and then went to push ups. I kept going until I could no longer hold myself up. I then did the same with sit ups. Nothing out of the ordinary there. I didn't feel accomplished yet so I decided I would go for a run. The block I live in is a little more than 2/3 of a mile, so I decided to do one lap around it. I ran for about half a mile which is pretty good considering that was usually my best even when I was running 5 times a week. I haven't exercised regularly for about 2 years now. After I stopped running I started to just walk back to my house Once I stop running I can never start back up again. Of course my heart was beating at like 180 bpm and my lungs were on fire. Nothing out of the ordinary for me still. I get to my house and sit down outside on my chair and put my feet up on the other chair. I'm completely exhausted. My cat comes running up to me and jumps on my lap so I start petting her.
I finally get enough strength to walk into my house and I go inside. I throw my water bottle on the table and wobble to my room. I also forgot to mention that about halfway through my run my vision started to blur out really bad and I got dizzy. Of course this was probably just from dehydration as usual with me. It happened every day I used to work out in the past so I didn't think anything about it. After I got inside I plopped down on my bed. My head was hurting super bad, I could barely breathe, I could barely move. I still didn't see anything out of the ordinary since that's usually how I felt after all my work outs.
Slowly, my arms started to go numb. I was thinking maybe it was from low blood pressure so I lied down on my back and propped my legs on higher elevation. I thought maybe this would help my blood flow. Instead my legs started to go numb so I moved them back down. Now I'm lying in my bed with a horrible head ache, my arms and legs completely numb, I can barely breathe, my hearts beating so fast it hurts, and my stomach hurts so bad I want to throw up.
I'd say this was probably the worst I've ever felt in my life and I literally thought. Wow... I'm going to die here... So quickly I prayed to the lord and asked him for my forgive me for my sins as I forgive those who have sinned against me, and that I could die knowing I had no regrets. After I finished praying my 4 month old kitten jumps on my chest and starts kneading on my stomach. It starts to relax me and I can feel the blood coming back into my legs. She keeps going and my right arm is starting to lose its numbness and then the same with my left arm. My heart has also slowed down a little. I still had my headache but I felt so much better.
I can't really explain what happened but I think that little kitten saved me from having a heart attack and most likely dying. I was home alone and my mother didn't come back home for 4 more hours after this happened. It would have been too late for me.

That is some pretty crazy stuff man.  You might wanna warm up slowly next time you work out to be sure everything is okay.  It sounds like you had a simultaneous panic attack brought on by it too.  I'll bet that was pretty freakin scary.

Ya know, I always wondered if animals have souls, or our guardian angels take over them to help us out, but you should thank God for what He and that kitten did for you.

Koda, God told me to add you to that PC game team of mine, but I didn't want to, I know now more than ever that you are EXACTLY what I need to make this go through.

I have no doubt in you that you can make this work, and that we will succeed.

Let me just say, WWWwwwwwooooooowwwww.

You have what it takes, a man ready to push himself beyond everythi8ng and anything.

keep going- you can do it (obviously, don't kill yourself, though remember that one CAN push oneself, just no TOO far)

I will pray for you everyday and mark this as an important moment in our friendship.

Here, I'll give you R-bot's dev forum link!

Take care, and have a great day man! God bless! ;3

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

There is obviously some ailment or physical limitation getting in the way. However, if you decide to continue with cardio you should really monitor your heart rate closer. It might be a good idea to read this.

You might have high blood pressure. Something similar to what happened to you happened to me when I was 17, before I joined the Army. I wasn't aloud do much for about 8 months. It sucked.

That's pretty crazy, dude. Scary, too. I don't know what I would do in that situation. I'm glad you're ok, though.

I'm sorry but that last bit was pretty hilarious. I think your problem is that you excercised too much spontaneously. It probably surprised your body since you don't do it often. I'm not really an expert but I would suggest starting off a little slower rather than going all at once.

God bless kittens! Mans true saviour.

Awesome! What a blessing. I've had a few crazy experiences myself that God has helped me through, although any near-death experiences I've had haven't ended quite as dramatically. I'm glad to see you still around! And I forgive you of everything bad you've ever done. I'm sure others on Vizzed feel the same way!

Wow, who knew that a little kitten could save your life like that? If that's not a blessing, I don't know what is. My advice is to keep him or her around for a while. You never know if you have another attack like that again.
