The Chat Room in the Play Window of RGR Games has been updated and is now the same engine that is used in Netplay Sessions.

Benefits of doing this:
-Functions better and keeps the chat conversation up to date (before if you didn't chat, then the chat would take a long time to update the chat conversation)
-Possibly less server strain (I'll find out in a few days)
-Cleaner design and a more organized user list
-Shows a mini version of the user's user picture
-Shows when users start playing the game or leave the game
-Clicking a users name brings up a popup menu (which I will add details & features to in the future)
-More chat features such as chat history, font color changer, draw chat, show chat times, etc (these features currently don't work but will in the future)

The biggest benefit to this is the fact that it'll let me detect what games users are playing in real time from other pages of the site. Before I had to base this off of if the user had the game page open but if a user closed the game's page or browsed the site while playing a game, I was no longer able to detect what game they were playing. It might be hard to think of how this would be helpful but here's 1 of many examples of what I could create which would utilize it: A list of games that are currently being played on the site in order of what is being played the most (and a number next to each showing how many users are playing that specific game).

Looks great David! It is definitely going to take a while to get used to, and I am going to miss the old chat, but it is definitely an upgrade.

Lol, David, why do all of the updates come out of nowhere, the new icons and new background and now this!
But still this looks awesome, And I have to say the previous chat was a bit strange. And I'll miss it, but this is better.

I definitely like the new chat
I never found the old one to really be worth using, since it took so long to update. I know the primary focus is to play the game but... if we're going to have game chat, I'd like to actually be able to use it. Especially if I choose to play the same game as a friend.

Ktanaqui : I like every aspect of vizzed to be an interactive experience and being able to chat with people while playing games is what helps make vizzed that living experience that I want it to be.

tgags123 : Sometimes it's hard to make updates or changes that alter the look of vizzed, especially since some users, including myself, get attached to the way things are and don't always like change but this one was definitely for the best. That old chat room was made by me and I'm definitely not a professional when it comes to making a chat room lol. The new one was professionally made and purchased at a cost so it's got way more man hours invested into it than the old one.

Totally misread it. I read it as the games in the Chat Room got updated, not the chat in the game windows... Totally misread. Sorry. I will edit my post. Go ahead and make it not count, too. 

And I read the update too... still thought it was the games in the chat room... *facepalm*

It is because the updates that I have been playing RGR Games lately!
Your example idea though, seems like a great idea!
Thanks for the updates though, it was because the old RGR Chat Room I left the RGR and started posting, so yeah, thanks for updating it NOW instead of BEFORE I joined Vizzed!
