I was trying to catch the bus when I literally fell on my face! It was rush hour so I felt so embarrassed and couldn't stop laughing. A kind passer by asked whether I was okay and I was despite my shattered ego. I had to hide behind my scarf while waiting for the next bus to come because I was laughing so hard at how stupid I must've looked!

The bus that I take kind of has some special circumstances. At the stop that is also the last stop on the train, 80% of the time I get off the train to see that the bus is either there with nobody getting on, which means it was done with that stop, or it had just pulled off. Every once in a while I will wait at the bus stop after that, but the bus would almost always skip that stop, even though its nowhere near full. I just hate it when this happens.

Seeing as my bus is pretty much a wild-card... that is to say that it ends up arriving at different times, so it is really easy to miss it. Oooh yes. I did at the beginning of this school year a lot because I had to get used to the new bus schedule (which they changed for NO REASON) and so being early that extra five minutes was tough. All of the other years, I missed it because I was slow getting my butt out of bed.

There's no way I could miss a bus since I could just wave for them and they would stop (as long as you're in a bus stop) and there are plenty of them. You can even choose which one you'd like to ride.

Nope I walk to school. My high school doesn't offer busing to anyone in my town, only to those who live outside of it. It's a 30 minute walk but tiresome in the heat.

I think in elementary school I missed the bus a few times though. Mainly because I was too lazy to leave on time.

imamonster : I rarely use the bus, but there is one time that I did miss it, and I had to walk to school. It's around a 10-15 minute walk, so it wasn't that bad, but I still got to school a bit tired. (Plus it was the cold weather, so there was that)

I have missed the bus so many times that it isn't even funny. I don't have a good relationship with the bus I should say. Either the bus comes really late in 10-15 minutes when I wait or when I finish walking to my destination, the bus magically appears out of nowhere. I'm being played in mind games.   One time, I was running for the bus, ended up banging on the front door to open, and then the bus goes away from me. Rejection hurts very much.

 Of course I am talking about school because my town is not a huge city with city busses.

It's not very often that I miss the bus since I usually leave pretty early to ensure I don't. It has happened though and it sucks. Thankfully, it's never happened when I needed to get somewhere important.

I don't often go on buses but yes I have missed the bus lots of times..... but you know what.... you can always wait for the next bus if your not in a hurry.... but yes that's gotta be a real bummer if there is a place you really need to go!!

I use to miss the bus or be pretty late for the school bus a few times, but nothing more than my first few years of high school, where I was late every other day, and had to run to the bus stop. It sucks, but at least I won't do that anymore.

I'm pretty sure everyone who's spent a good deal of time riding a bus has missed it once or twice. The best one for me was when I was in college and couldn't get a ride home from one of my late classes. It let out after the busses had stopped running for the night, so I had to walk 17 miles home. Luckily, my sister, who had my mom's car, got off early and happened to drive by me after only about an hour of walking. Walking is nice but that's not really the way I'd like to spend an evening.

A new missing the bus story from Silly! Seriously, I'm starting to have a real love-hate-relationship with our local bus drivers...
So I'm running late as usual and I see the bus arriving from a far when I'm still around 100 metres from the bus stop. I start running like crazy and when I'm close-by the bus starts to slow down. "Yes! I made it!", I thought, but when I slow down and reach the door the bus leaves. I'm totally dumbstruck and I just stand there without comprehending what had happened. Fortunately there's another bus coming right behind the one I missed. The bus driver tells me he saw what happened and will tell his superiors what a s***ty thing the earlier guy did. So yeah, not all of them are douche bags it seems :-)
