I'm going to pitch you a hypothetical situation.

You are mosying about one day, lollygagging as it were. Having a grand ol' ball. Then you get this absolutely killer idea in your head. You think it's hilarious. You decide to break one of the most important rules, not only of a forum, but of the internet and of real life.

You decide to steal someone else's work and take credit for it.

Now here's the real larf.

You get caught for it, and everyone knows how terrible it is.

You get banned, suspended, get a zero on your paper, what have you.

You get punished and everyone is cool with leaving it at that.

But wait, here's the kicker. It gets better.

You decide to whine about getting banned, suspended, and getting the zero on your paper like the entitled cry baby that you are.

Wah wah wah. I broke the rules, but I deserve everything.

Now, everyone tells you to grow up EXCEPT THE TEACHER.

The teacher decides that because you whined enough, you can have back your elite status, that you can be reinstated, or that you can get a 100 for the work that is STILL STOLEN.

The illusion of punishment is enough?

We have passed the point of no return, past the edge of the precipice of insanity. We have veered so far into the dark we will never see the light again.

What is the purpose of this rant? What am I trying to say?

Nothing and everything. This is Innocent Town, the only place any of you (and I) will be safe from this backwards madness. This post is merely to state that here there is no power, you are all equal under Leggy. That there are few rules (one of which are "Don't f***ing steal") and if broken, you will not be getting off easy.

You have in your hands a choice.

Embrace the chaos that is IT, or the madness that is... whatever else exists outside of these walls.

I choose IT. It is the only thing that makes sense anymore.

So the moral of this story is if you break the rules and then whine about it enough like a little child you don't get punished at all..

You forgot the part at about line 4, where it should say multiple times, since its gone virtually unpunished for said individual before.

Really rewarding bad behaviour here...



And then theres the profile comments saying "CONGRATZ ON THE 100% [STUDENT] YOU REALLY DESERVE IT!!!!"

Honestly, I believe that said user deserves to be banned more than they deserve to be an elite. They should have been happy to still be here and to be a trusted member.

Really, its one thing to even come back to vizzed at all, but to come back as trusted and still not be satisfied with your status and then whine about it? Facepalm* 

I really don't even know what more to say on the matter, all I know is that things have definitely changed, and you can't get by in life just by whining and complaining for the things you want, if it was so important to you in the first place, why run the risk of losing it? Honestly, one should just be thankful to come back at all, and as a trusted member at that....

I wonder whether the hypothetical student will remain trusted now that the hypothetical rating system is working again.

Well, if the hypothetical rating system is back up, it'll only take a few hypothetical days for it to be hypothetically corrupted by hypothetical members again.

This is quite bulls*** that the hypothetical person got elite despite everything that was thrown at him/her. Chances of learning on why the person got banned and why it's wrong. But nope. b**** and complain hard enough, and you'll get anything. The role of any staff member is now a thread of "like for me pls" is only a click away.

She broke the rules. Plagiarism. Was banned for it. Lost elite status.

Later after ban was done, she whined in several threads about how losing her elite status was a server error.

Even though literally everyone (including mods) told her why she lost elite, she kept whining.

Then David (presumably, since he's the only one who can) repromoted her to elite, sending everyone the message that "it's ok to break the rules so long as you whine about it after."

Although I'm sure the mods have a different story in the staff forums. I imagine this is a pretty big topic there.

Reporter juuldude here with a new update! It's a bit of old news currently, but Totts is a normal member with just one trust point but she made 5 threads with 3 of them pointing out at her being bullied (one literally says so, the others almost have the same subject) and she has a post rating of -29 so I think she learned her lesson.

Totts gets banned loses elite status (justified)
she complains to David who puts her back assuming the "glitch" is the truth.
I ban her again to take it away
She then loses her trusted status...

And now we suffer with her newest round of threads that mostly make no sense.

tornadocam : don't listen to anything she says. A quick read of her threads will show that she doesn't have much knowledge or experience about anything. I don't put much stock in anything she tries to do or say.
