I seem to find that there are a lot more angry people on Vizzed these days than before. In the past sure there were arguments we all remember those well, but today I see a lot more just general haters and anger compared to just strong minded views.

It just seems that for anyone trying to have a good time there is a hater ready to make trouble for them and that is just sad and upsetting to see that they would spend such time doing this.

Vizzed is a family, we are a family and have to work together and love one another peacefully on the basis of respect, love and dignity, now lets move on because it is time that we grooved on and I for one wish to hear the drummer get wicked.

I would say that because right now there are a lot more people who just post rubbish and when other users tell them of this, arguments arise.

Totts : Wow somebody even hates you since you're disliked I don't know, I like the community right now but I have the feeling that some years ago the community was nicer, although my friends are still very nice.

zanderlex : Yeah one of my friends here on Vizzed has a hater who sometimes dislikes him ,it's because of a conflict they had (I'm not going to say any names because I respect both users). As far as I now I don't have any haters (I hope it stays that way, some people here aren't appreciated even though they made just one or two mistakes). 

There really aren't any more angry people than usual.

The reason you are perceiving a difference is because you are on the outside looking in.

You aren't in the "in" crowd right now. As such you will see "haters" when it's really just the new community sliding in over the old.

Everyone who stays here is subject to this change.

But the community is the exact same it's been for years. One group of new users who think they are cool, and one old group of users who think they are cool.

In reality, neither group is cool, because they can't accept a change in the memberbase.

legacyme3 : What's the ''in'' crowd then? But I agree, there are some new great users and some bad or lazy ones, but the community is still pretty nice. And the old ones are still as active as ever.

Basically the newer members. Each year they become the "in" crowd, and push the previous "in" crowd to the "out" crowd.

People of high rank, like Elites, and Staff, tend to stay in the "in" crowd, even after the new "in" crowd comes in. That's why some people (like Totts, who recently lost Elite status) don't notice it, because they don't have to.

Not really pushing, that's just a turn of phrase.

It's just older members leave, new ones come in, and the older members that remain are predisposed to not like the newer members.

I wouldn't say more "angry" people on vizzed, really. I'd say the older users who have been around a long time being a bit bitter on the newer, younger users coming in. Me for example, I've been out there when I had my first few thousand posts, with a lot more funny attitude. Now, about 3 and a half years later, I kinda grew out of it partially. From quick and spammy to a bit lengthy posts. The page is turning and the older users aren't quite use to it.

It depends on how you look at it. The internet can give mixed signals to anyone these days which can start up unnecessary arguments. I do see a few "trolls" who tend to goof around and disrespect this website. That is just disgraceful. I don't mind angry/ranters people as long as it is not in profanity and worded in a respectful matter due to the rules on this website.

Let's be honest here; there will always be those handful of people who will start trouble as much as we don't like it and we try to enforce discipline onto them. Society does have its good and bad after all.

I think the attitude has changed a bit the past few years.  New people come, old people leave, it's the circle of life.  Saying that, there's always a new group who kind of team up because they show up around the same time.  I don't think there's direct competition between them and the old folks but there's a certain... sassiness... that usually follows.

The internet is full of hate because people can post any opinion, know they'll get a reaction, and have complete (nearly) autonomy and anonymity from everyone else.  They can say things to rile people up and the worst that happens is they get banned.  Then they go somewhere else.  They want a reaction and they get one because people always react and comment on each other.  The internet allows us to go nuts and be extremely aggressive about opinions, thoughts, and beliefs.  The default reaction to someone disagreeing with you seems to be nature.  It's human nature with no society running interference and slowing us down.  There are no consequences so people go big.

It seems like most of the newer active board members showed up in the last year or so, and I think that season is just wrapping up. This current group is getting established as the 'in crowd', and I feel like that's almost complete.

I've always found Vizzed to be a fairly positive site although it does seem that a lot of times some drama of some sort is going on.  I remember when I first joined up there was like a battle btwn JigSaw and Geogree and I got kinda caught up in it as I actually was on a side there, I since realize I was on the wrong side.  Wow anyways, nowadays I like the really positive posts good examples of this are posts by Singelli and Eirinn as well as others.  Legacyme3's sarcasm can be funny and dark but I stray.  I think maybe you are just paying more attention to the negative stuff because even though itis there I couldn't tell you what was going on with this supposed "in" crowd.  I think this is cuz I just pay it no attention so I perceive the site as friendlier (though by today's standards I think you would be hard pressed to find anybody that would call Vizzed and unfriendly site.  I've ranted enough .

I must admit, I haven't a clue why it would seem to someone that there are a lot of angry people on Vizzed. I think that's more of a personal perception of things than a fact, really.

As fightorace said, I believe you would struggle to find someone who would call Vizzed an unfriendly site. I have noticed that the new crowd seems a little less light hearted, fun loving, and community centered than the last couple of crowds, but they aren't mean at all. Yeah sometimes some people get out of hand and say some things, but that's just part of being human, right?

So yes, the crowd is a little different than it was a year or two ago, but it's still a welcoming and friendly environment, especially when viewed in contrast to other sites. Vizzed is actually something of a safe haven online, and it allows equality and kindness. All things considered, Vizzed is still the same friendly place it's always been.

Vizzed, will always stay as vizzed, no matter what happens. Even changes during the years. One thing comes as another thing goes. I'm not much of an angry person myself. But, I am able to sense and to see when a conflict would happen. It will either be a pointless one. Or one that will be debated somehow. Not a lot of people can see the side, to a lot of things that I can. Angry wise.Some people would just make it worse in a way. and without taking to consideration of the persons feelings. Things happen and people would do their best to stop the problem happening. Despite that more people will create more problems. Even if it is good or bad. Not everything is always positive but, when it does seem to come by, I treasure it when I can. While seeing what the negative happens for others. For me I'm just like any other person just doing what she can for the site in a way. There is other ways to solving or dealing negative problems. It all starts with what you say, and how you say words to others. I wasn't sure what to say on this thread but, now I have.

Really? Haven't seen some of the members in Vizzed getting pissed off.

I don't think there is more haters than before, Not if you based it on percentages and the likes.

This forum has grown over the last 3-4 years.. So of course there's more likely to be more older members around, therefore making it appear that there's more haters... 

I know that there's a few people that  assume i hate them, Which sadly i'd have to say isn't true. I don't hate anyone here, 

I also believe that the older members growing up plays a part, A few of us have become adults and have changed our opinions on many things.. 

Also most adults when they look back on their teenage years usually think they were pretty stupid and idiotic

Just so many thoughtful words here, theres nothing more to say! Just the fact that so many people responded peacefully and thoughtfully shows that this is a rather nice community, not a hateful one, and that haters don't very well reflect the community as a whole. As I have showen up here rather rencently (at least in terms of commuinity activity), I try not to hate/get hated by the existing community members. This site just has so much going it for it that it aint gonna die and I'd rather support it and not derp and troll the site. Just the RGR is impressive! And thats but one part of the site! All in all, haters gonna hate, sometimes you've gotta deal.
