Blue Seed Anime Review

Hello everyone this is my second anime review. I hope that you enjoy reading it. ^-^

Synopsis 8 out of 10: In the middle of the night a young girl name Katie, vanishes in a blind of white light. There, the next day comes and it is a school day. Many high schoolers attend but, another girl gets caught in the spotlight of this story. Her name is Momji Fujimiya, she is bright and a very cheerful girl. At school she is thinking about what her grandmother told her. Momji thinks it is nothing worth to think about until………A giant tree like monster appears out of nowhere! Everyone goes into packing mode and tries to fight their way out of the school! And one girl gets trapped. And the monster looks at her with pleasurable desires to kill. The young girl is so scared so she screams and tries to run away. The monster tries to grab her but she gets hit, and faints afterwards. With the school damaged and a tree like monster on the loose, and also on a rampage, who will save this damsel in distress?

Story 8 out of 10: It’s a about a girl named Momji Fujimiya, who is a high school student. She very much lives a normal life but, not for long as her school gets attacked. Once she finds out that she is a kushinada princess her life changes. She gets targeted or to be attacked by various monsters. And she will then have to be protected by a handsome young man named Kusanagi. He wanted to kill her himself at the beginning but, he had a change of heart and then decided to protect her. They are not alone though, they have allies from the TAC to help as well.

Graphics 7 out of 10: And again this is an old school anime. But, it doesn’t mean that it won’t be good be good to see. Any anime that is old school is still good to watch because it still has that good quality. I like how it is featured but, there might be some flashy parts when you watch it. In a way it is different, how should I explain it. Well most of the characters looks cute as in have cute faces and the shape of their heads. They have a certain expression which will show you. There are some bright colours in this anime and some dark colours as well. The trees don’t look like a normal one, same with the buildings. They have some odd looking colours on them but, in a way they are interesting to look at. So the graphics in this anime is a bit weird because it came out Oct 5th 1994, and the manga came out on march in the same year. I am not saying weird as in bad I mean weird as in good.

Sound 8 out of 10: Lets start with the music section blue seed has good backing soundtracks.

Music section: This anime doesn’t have English opening even though that they have dub. So it is all Japanese, there are 1 opening and 2 ending music. Most of the music are emotional. You should especially listen to this music called *Matsuri Uta* listen to the instrumental version of it. That music is just wow………its so beautiful. If I did die that would be my funeral music it is so peaceful and emotional as well. When you listen to it all of your troubles will wash away, like the ocean. That is how peaceful it is. Please I recommend you to listen to it. There is more backing soundtracks in this anime than opening songs.

Voices of the characters: I suggest that you should watch it in the dub version. I guarantee that you will enjoy it more. I think they chose the rightful people to dub the characters of blue seed. You can watch it in sub if you want too though. But, the dub and the sub is amazing in their own way. If you like a girl screaming in distress then this is the anime for you. I watch it in the dub because of the screaming. Back in the old days it was proper screams, and not annoying screams. I feel for the person who voiced momji what happened to her throat after that?
You will be like oh my god! Who is going to help her?!

Translation quality: And again this can only be viewed to Japanese and an English speaker. It is very rare for animes to have other subs apart from Japanese and English. I even looked it up and I got the same answer that I thought to get.

Addictiveness 7 out of 10: It is addicting only the original series is. Because of what it gives to you like the screaming and the kidnapping. So it would be something to re watch especially the good and special moments in the anime. ^-^

Depth 7 out of 10: Ok for those who don’t know, ever thought that Inuyasha is similar to blue seed? Well it is in a way but, this anime came out before Inuyasha was made. Even though that they are both different. Blue seed and Inuyasha are both great animes. There is a continuation of blue seed called *Blue seed ova* sad to say I don’t like this one too much and I don’t think you would. I may be wrong as people have their likes to certain things. Why don’t I, you ask? Because they freaking changed the voices of the two main characters!!! That would be Momji and Kusanagi. I was so upset because blue seed ova did not have the effect that the original series has. So when she screams its like Bleh.
Anyways it is ok to watch you will get to know a little more about Kusanagi, past wise. Oh yes they also changed his personality in blue seed ova. I was like what the heck?!

Overall 9.3: This anime has two seasons but, the original version is the best. It has 26 episodes whereas the ova have 4 or 5 episodes. This is a really great anime to watch so I recommend you to see it. The genres in the anime are action, comedy, romance and more. You will not get bored of watching Blue seed. That I promise you on, or not unless it is not your taste like to watch lol.

Interesting, Eniitan. The anime itself isn't my cup of tea, based on what you put down in the story and synopsis section. However, I think the review itself could improve. Here are my suggestions;

Genre
I recommend putting in what type of genres the anime is. I know you did on the Overall section, but it's like all the way down on the bottom. So I guess what I mean is to put it near the top?

This will help readers decide for themselves if it's what they want to see. It's probably the first thing that people want to see when they look for an anime, probably. Aside from the synopsis, that is.

Graphics
Since this isn't the Game Review forum, you could put up pictures to give the readers a preview of what the animation will be like.

Voices
It might help if you could describe what their pronunciation of what they're saying is like. Also how their voices sound like. Do they match the character they are voice acting? Does the English version's speech sound right to the situation?

Translation
I think there are multiple translation groups for anime. So you would have to find out the name of the translation group and describe the quality of their work. Some groups will do very well, while others will make easily detectable spelling and grammar mistakes along with conflicting font colors and sizes when translating an episode.

Addictiveness?
I'm not even sure this section is needed, since it might be the same thing as depth in terms of anime.

Others
It might help to list down the studio's name and its licensor. Some fans of studios watch anime specifically because its by that certain studio. The licensor will probably be useful for English dubs.

OVAs and the anime itself tend to be seen as separate. Since they are normally longer than a single episode, and may act as some sort of filler or might not be related to the anime itself at all. In some cases, it might be a different story completely.

And as for the ova I know that, some may continue the story from whatever anime that you watch. While most ovas are different to the story. ^-^

I am not an expert with reviews, but I will say this. Excellent job, but going with what Mistress said, I feel like the genre should be introduced sooner. It would really help out people who want to know the type of anime that it is, so they can see if they should watch it, before they read the whole thing. 

Regardless, nice job Enii. I will see if I can get around to watching this sometime.

I haven't watched this anime honestly. I've heard of Inuyasha though but that's besides the point. Maybe, someday, I'll take the time to watch an episode of this anime, who knows. As always, it was a nice review, sis'. Keep up this good work
