Our library is probably one of the least impressive I've seen. Standing in the doorway, you can easily see the entire room and all its content.  The only shelves of books are along the four outer walls, with the floor space occupied by tables and a mini-computer lab.  I don't know the number of books the room has, but I would imagine it's shockingly small for a high school library.

zanderlex : well i'm home schooled but i have a library pretty close by so its a decent one with manga books and a split child adult section (i like the bigger books i'm a bit of a book worm i have tons of books at home that are absolutly huge)

Mine is a decent size, mind you I am still in high school, but there is still a good amount of books in there, I can't give you a specific size of the library or an amount of books, but I can assure you, it is nothing worth bragging about. I hope that the library in college is bigger though. As for libraries near home or anything, I wouldn't really know since I don't visit them all that often to be honest. Overall my library is far from impressive, but I am hoping I will have a bigger one when I get to college. 

How did you manage to get away with hours in the library? We cannot ever find time to go to the library, and are only allowed if we have free time in class, or during lunch, or if we are doing a research project in the library. Now, at least we have a larger library. We have a bunch of computers in there (unfortunately, a large number of them are macs), but there is never time to do anything with it. We also have a fair number of books, but it is still exceedingly small. At least it was/is large enough for our small high school of 400ish kids. Although, it is shared with the middle school, which has another 400ish kids, so I guess it might still be undersized. 

Well the middle school library is decent sized for a middle school. To me the size does not really matters what does matter is how many books get checked out compared to the total number of books. In this library almost none get checked out.
 
 This year I was most likely the most frequent sixth grader in there going like once or twice a week. The rest of the sixth graders usually never go in there. Seriously a substitute came in and asked what the policy was for the library such as one at a time and such. She asked one of the teachers and he responded by saying my kids never ask to go.

The library in my school is a small one with old books. I rarely use the library i only go in there when it is a school event.

The libraries in the colleges I venture to from time to time have massive Libraries.
Think Airplane Hangar size.
Literally "Tons" of Books.
When I am not in school?
I favour "Barnes and Noble". Those are fairly standard in size so visit one if you want a good idea of size.
I tend not to get on a computer when I am at the Library or Book Store.
So much information.
I tend to just pick up a book and feed my mind.
Rooms with books are like my all you can eat buffet.
I engorge myself with information.
I try to limit my trips to the library or book store to once a weak. (I spend more than four hours in them.)
If I did not? Then I would never get out of them.

I am working on building my own library, but it is slow going. I only have about four tons of books in it so far. (I can't afford to read more heavily.)
It has taken me more than Ten years to build it.
One day it will be complete with more than Twenty Tons of Books. For now??? The Office Size will have to suffice.

Well, our library used to have a fair amount of books. However, because everyone uses the internet for research now, pretty much all the shelves are gone. They're trying to amend this by getting more fiction books in, but for now it looks really empty. It's not a very big room either.

The library in my old school was really small. It only had 5 computers and small amount of books. Was surprised to find out that the library had manga in it but most were stolen.

My library is about 75% the size of a basketball court. It's not too big, but it has anything and everything a library would ever need.

My school has a pretty decent sized library. There are like 50 computers in it, but they are so bad. They don't even work most of the time. I don't know why they don't just get 25 decent computers. Anyway, there are a lot of books in it, but no one goes there for the books XD There are also a lot of tables so that you can go there during lunch and do homework or something if you want to.

The only library I can really remember is the one from 6th grade. The library itself was big, but the choice of books was not. I think there was about 30 new Apple Computers at the time, though. And I hate Macs. 

The library I had around my school was in the building, but nobody used it in the Middle/High school since the librarian never opens the area without the elementary kids around. But it was pretty large, and had a lot of areas.

The library in my school is a decent size, but there isn't much in there. There was only like 8 computers in there, about 10 tables, and just an average amount of books there.
