This is the Team Competition thread for the 2014 Spring Tour de Vizzed. And I am your host for this event, which has never really been a close competition. However, I think we may finally have a fair way to create teams.

You will be sorted onto your team by BIRTH MONTH.

Here's an example, so no one hurts their brains figuring out this complex idea.

I was born in August. Therefor, I am ON Team August. David (I believe) was born in July, which means he is on Team July. If you have questions, for whatever reason, over what team you are on, here's a nifty little guide to help you figure it out.

Step 1 - Go to your profile. (Click "Your Profile" near the top.)
Step 2 - look for the area where your birthday is. Example - Age / Birthday: 21 / 08-26-92. This is my birthday.
Step 3 - Look at the first number in the birthday portion of your age/birthday. Mine is the number 8.
Step 4 - Compare that number to the list below.

1 = January
2 = February
3 = March
4 = April
5 = May
6 = June
7 = July
8 = August
9 = September
10 = October
11 = November
12 = December

Step 5 - Have fun. Or as much fun as one can have posting.

Please do not post in this thread every day saying "oh wow, my team did a good job today, I hope we keep this up." That is spammy, and I will report anyone who does so to the TDV DQ thread. If you get DQ'd, obviously, you hurt your team. Don't hurt your team.

Here are the prizes, which I'll assume are the same as the last time.

If your team gets 3rd and you make the top 3 overall in the Tour De Vizzed

Be Sure to let Davideo7 know if you qualify for one of the above once the competition ends, we won't be keeping track of who earns what amount of Viz in the Team Competition.

EDIT - And before I get flak for not updating... I'll be updating each day at NOON EST hopefully. This is to give locals/globals time to DQ appropriate members, so I don't have to redo something.

As I was looking up birthdates for all members, I found people who had auto-playing music on their profiles. You people are currently my least favorite people. If you have to have music on your profile, don't force me to listen to your music.

So, the first day is officially done. Although I could still see retroactive DQ's... so I might edit this post later.

Okay, I don't mean to spam the thread, just curious as to how teams score in the team competition.

I'm assuming it's people that score points in the jersey competitions add points for their team?

Also, I'm on March, assuming there aint many of us 03 kids on here, so, I may have my work cut out for the team.

Sorry if this counts as spam, wan't intended, just curious to the team rulings.

Go team July! I love the style of this TDV instead of username letters and what they start with.

Yep. Basically, whatever a person's overall score (Rainbow Jersey) is is their score here. Except it gets added to your team (birth month) rather than yourself.

Example - if you score first in the blue jersey, and don't place top 5 in any other jersey, you will win 5 points for both the Rainbow Jersey and for the March team.

Anyone who places in the TDV is automatically on a team.

I just go to each profile to figure out what team someone is on.

It's not that much work, so meh.

Well.....I don't think there is many active user's birthdays on June. So I really don't think team 6 will win anyway.

So am I in the team competition without signing up? I am asking because last TDV I noticed people picking teams from their first letter.

Looks like people on my team are in February, which would make barathemos on my team which could come in handy if he decides to post or compete at all. I think frodlex is also in February, I am not sure, I am going to check out a few members that are on the same month as me. I like this set up rather than the letter your username started with. 

Barathemos : We are on the same team, if you want to work together to maybe rack up some points, that would be great, if you are interested I can cover yellow or green, and I know you will probably go for blue XD

All right, let's go Team July! Not going to be easy to figure out who all has a July birthday without clicking 100s of profiles so I wont be doing my summons like I normally do lol.

Hmm... Go team January! Hehe. I don't fully understand but I guess competition can make things a little more enjoyable, no?
