I definitely feel like both have various benefits and drawbacks. Hulu has a lot of shows and movies, but they don't have nearly as many as netflix. Of course, Netflix takes up to a year to get shows that Hulu has the day after it shows. I use Amazon Instant Video (basically netflix, except amazon style) and Hulu, and I feel like they're important for different reasons. I don't know that you could legitimately compare them, to be honest.

I do not really prefer either of them, but I have used Netflix more. They both serve the same purpose, and I put them at the same level. I use hulu cuz it is free.  I don't like to pay when you can find almost anything you want to watch for free.  Also I keep my laptop plugged into my TV a lot and find myself watching free shows after they air because I can't catch them when they are on TV due to working 2nd shift.  If I were going to pay for one though it would be Netflix just because of the commercials as others have said.  Since I don't pay for hulu I don't mind the commercials so much but if I were paying they would irritate me to no end.

I gotta go with Netflix because they added two Pokémon movies and series and on Hulu you can only get Season 3 of once upon of time and Netflix you get one and two I have them both but I use Netflix way more often then I do Hulu Netflix is good at what it does and I'll always say Netflix is better plus on some shows Hulu can only hold 5 episodes like really so I vote for Netflix hands down

Right now I have netflix and have for a long time since they just sent dvds. I dont really use it anymore since they dont get new content very often at all. I think I am going to try hulu out since I watch more show than movies now days anyways plus I heard that they have community on hulu and I love that show. Netflix has also got to be really laggy in the evenening and its just not worth the time anymore I think plus someone said there prices were going up again.
