I actually can speak three languages. English of course but I also can speak Spanish and French.

Spanish was actually my first language and my strongest. Since Spanish is different in many countries, I usually say that I speak Mexican, to help differentiate what kind of Spanish I speak. French, I chose a French class and was taught for four years by a great teacher, who was born in Bordeaux, France... I think. I actually had a better grasp with the language because it was similar to Spanish in many ways and I picked up really fast on my four years of the class.

I can sort of speak two. I can solidly speak English but I don't have a full grasp on French yet. Thanks to the new French teacher, I'm learning much faster than I used to. I started taking French because I was told that it would get me in a good chunk of Universities, though it isn't really the case anymore. It's still a good skill to learn, though (even if I would rather learn Japanese)

I grew up in an area of Detroit that was heavily populated by Mexicans.  I speak Mexican Spanish very well and I read it well.  I learned Castellano Spanish in high school and it is similar to Mexican.  I speak both of those well enough to give tours and do business at work with Spanish speaking members and guests.

English is my birthspeech, obviously.  When I was in Hawaii for a few years I was learning Japanese slowly but surely because of the large population of Japanese.  It went well enough I could stumble through some phrases and I made people laugh in appreciation when I tried it in Japan the handful of times I went.

I love languages and communication and I think it's insane to know what other strangers use for their words for things.  It's a neat trick to communicate to people around the world.

The only language i really understand is English. I barely know any spanish....(ever though my family is Spanish). I would love  to have an Australian accent though. So i will try to talk like them...which will be easy...since its still English.
