Hello everybody, NintendoFanKimmy here, and this time I bring you a thread about myself. Do I seem like a tomboy to you? Well, compared to the rest of the girls in my class, I would say I am definitely tomboyish. Make-up, miniskirts, high heels, and prettifying myself up are things I am just not interested in. It's hardcore video-gaming, epic comic book drawing, and thrilling adventures inside my imagination take up my daily schedules. That's just what I find interesting. I do have a crush, though, and YES, he is a guy, but you know what I mean. A tomboy is a more roughly-attitudinized girl than most. I like pink, though ^^! Anyway, based on what you've read, guys, what would you say about me being a tomboy? My answer? I don't know. That's why I made this thread in the first place.

If you insist, then yes. You do seem pretty tomboyish. But then again, I have no idea what 12 year old girls are supposed to be into. (Make-up, mini-skirts, and high heels? I mean, make-up I can understand, but the other two...)

However, like I said, you're still young. You would probably be more feminine when you grow older.

I agree with Mistress, your 12 years old.. and make up I can understand but the other to I don't really get.. especially for somebody your age.. I think that you may be a tom boy but so is my little 12 year old sister. It's something that happens a lot at a young age.. when you get older you will probably start liking other things like makeup and stuff more and if you don't it's no crime girl! Do yourself a favor and embrace yourself at least for now, you're only 12 so being tomboyish is pretty standard and normal. In high school things will probably change anyways without you even realizing it.

You know, I don't know anything about you, Kimmy, but I would say look at it this way: as everyone else has brought up, yes you are young. For now, just act like a kid. Have a grand old time doing whatever the heck it is you wanna do and just have a blast. Being a kid was one of the greatest times ever. Just enjoy life for what it is, don't care what other people think, just be you. As long as you got friends, as long as you got this crush, why should the way you act be a red flag to you or something, y'know?

The main thing i'm really going at is just be you, Kimmy. Enjoy your friends and all the things you do. Maybe things will change and your interests were change and you'll like more "girly" things. Not that its a bad thing of course, not at all. Just enjoy being you and if you change, you change. In the end you'll figure out who you are, don't fret too much over it now or how you appear to people. If people don't like you for who you are then you honestly don't need them. And never get discouraged about how you act or your image. That's all I can really say for you, Kimmy.

Based on what you said, you are a tomboy.

I don't think you should worry on your personality being different from other normal girls because you are who you are. I am a tomboy myself who loves to play video games, to be active, to joke around with others, and sometimes give pats on the back to others when something good happens. My attitude can be really serious in certain serious situations but I am very laidback and easy going in general. I have friends who don't mind my tomboy personality so it's great for me.

I am 18 years old and I STILL don't like make-up, dresses, shoes, and all that stuff because I believe in true natural beauty inside out. I think that girls shouldn't even worry about stuff like that since I think it's stupid. I don't get why they are so fascinated about that stuff especially when  I personally think it's a waste of money.

Guys can like tomboys as well because I had a few guys ask me out in the past but I had to reject them for personal reasons.

My advice to you is stay who you are in a natural state of mind. Don't let anything force you to change who you are because each and every one of us is unique. Take in your life the way you want it to be and let nobody change it. Don't be afraid to embrace yourself. Inner beauty is the best out of all!

Ghostfishy hit it right on the head. You sound somewhat tomboyish, but that's just who you are. Guys can be just as attracted to tomboys as they can be to the stereotyipcal "girly" girls. Personally I think "girly" can be taken too far and become a turn off, but then some guys like that over the top girly stuff, so in the end, there's someone for every type of guy and girl.

Dating stuff aside, being who you really are is the only way to go. If you are a tomboy, embrace it! Maybe you'll grow out of it, and maybe not. Who you are is what makes you special. Heck, I'm a twenty-six year old man that pretty much only watches Disney and cartoons, and enjoys Disney fairy movies. xD I'm different, and I like that.

12 year olds wear high heels these days? Really? Most girls I knew in my age group rarely wore those even in high school.

But back to the issue. There is nothing wrong about being a tomboy if that is your thing. My best friend when I was your age was a tomboy and she ruled! And yeah, I guess I had a bit of a crush on her too. She was my first kiss and all. So worry not. Just be yourself.

Tomboys are great, they are girls that I can acctually talk to without thinking that they are speaking another language.

Well.... you are not as preppy and whiny like any other girls. You may also take note that you are only twelve, so you are still growing.

My opinion, you are not a tomboy. You're fun and have spunk in chat lol.

Another thing, don't fret what others think about you. Only your opinions matter, no one else, Ok. So what if the other girls where make up or skirts, blah blah blah. They're probably following a crowd while you want to show originality, so I wouldn't worry much.

I would have to agree with everyone here, your tomboyish in a sense; but your obviously not a preppy. A complete tomboy would wear "guyish" t-shirts, play a lot of sports (soccer and baseball are usually what supposed tomboys play...at least at my school), and tend to be more "masculine" in attitude compared to other guys.

I would say that you are more of an free-spirit individual personality that doesn't try to comform with the popular crowd or what is "cool". I know that growing up I was friends with a girl who was also kind of like you. She was tomboyish also. Played a lot of video games, played a lot of sports, and tended to hang out with guys more than girls (as friends I should point out).

Of course your still young and 12 years old is normal for girls to still be tomboys (at least when I was in school). Maybe you'll take up more "feminine" hobbies and activates when you grow up, but you shouldn't be worried about whether that stuff now. Just be yourself and hang out with friends that like you for you and not what your not (if that made sense).

Saying that, Kimmy, don't label yourself.  You're not a tomboy, you're not tomboy-ish, you just like what you like.  Do you like video games?  Sure.  Great.  Do you like comics?  Yes?  Awesome.  Good for you.  There are girls that use make-up, like girly things, and play video games and like comics and come up with their own adventures in their imaginations.  Heck, you might do a 180 and like all the girly stuff in the next few years and that's okay, too.  It doesn't matter what you like and what you don't like as long as you are a fundamentally kind person.

There are girls who don't like make-up, don't like skirts or pink, aren't 'girly' and they don't care for comics and video games.

It takes all kinds and everyone is different.  It doesn't make you something and it doesn't mean you should label yourself.  You're Nintendo Fan Kimmy and nothing else.  Own yourself, appreciate yourself, and you'll do fine.
