If I am by myself I will sometimes talk to myself, but more often then not I am thinking to myself picking things out and watching how people behave and wondering to myself "why does this person do that?". I frequently get lost in my own thoughts and just block out what other people are saying or doing (unless it is what I am focusing on).

As a perfect example, I just looked over at a Dr. Pepper can  and noticed that on the football jersey of the person on the can, Dr. Pepper is almost completely level with the bottom of the can while the person is jumping in the picture. I thought to myself this picture was obviously staged and that personally I would like the product better if it were maybe a little crooked or if there was a wrinkle in his jersey because it would look like a real picture and not like a staged photograph.

Ya, I had that conversation with myself just now...

I do. It sorta helps me keep my head in one spot, happy and tranquil. Most of the time, since I write and role play a lot, I even incorporate conversations with a few of my characters to help get those creative gears turning.

I do, actually. It helps me out a lot when I am figuring out how something looks on a drawing or if I'm trying to decide what I should do for the day. If I keep my thoughts to myself I tend to easily forget what I wanted to do in the first place. I do that often when I play video games, I don't know why but it's more enjoyable when you talk to yourself. For instance I was playing skyrim and one of my partners in crime alerted a frost troll of my presence and in the end we both died and I just yelled at curses at my stupid partner. Even though we died, my commentary made my whole experience a whole lot funnier.

As Much as I hate to admit this, I actually find myself doing this often. I talk to myself when I start losing a game, or get stressed, or am just in deep concentration. I also do this when I solve math problems. I guess I'm just weird.

I used to talk to myself pretty often when I was younger because it was a good way to sort out how I wanted to word things and plan out how a situation will go. Obviously situations are a bit more unpredictable than that so that never really worked out in my favor, although I usually would try to make it play out in my favor so that could also play a part.
As I got older I would hang out with my friends everyday so I pretty much stopped doing that and exchanged it for thinking about it so I'd be fairly spaced out half of the time. Now a days I still don't really talk to myself anymore but I laugh at my own jokes all the time, I think I'm hilarious.

I talk to myself all the time. Mentally and verbally. It gets a bit awkward during school because people are like 'Are you talking to me?' when I'm speaking to myself, and it feels a bit awkward that they heard what I was saying

Yes, I talk to myself way too much and it sometimes makes me cry when I have too much things in my mind at the same time.
I like to speak to myself, because I don't have that many friends to speak with.
I'm almost always lonely when I'm in school so I speak with myself a lot of my time.
Talking to myself is confronting and fun a lot of the time, but when I argue to myself I start to cry that even myself can't stand me when I have too much in my mind to piece together. :'(

It's not as much that I'm talking to myself as I am judging what I'm doing. If I start doing something I begin to think about it. I normally find that I may be thinking about it too much. I may say thing to myself like, "What do you think you're doing?" or "Why would anyone do this?", although that isn't something I should be worrying about. The things I judge myself for are usually things that everyone does daily, but I feel like maybe I shouldn't be doing these things.

I guess I'm my worst critic. I mean, I really know how to make me question my life and what I'm doing with it. I'm sure it will get easier, though. At least I hope so.

Yes, I talk to myself sometimes when I'm really bored or when I'm playing a game on some console. Sometimes I even talk to myself when I do my homework and do something wrong. I might say "This can't be right" or "What am I think I'm doing it can't be like that".

I think that sometimes it's kind of funny when I talk to myself, but sometimes it's actually pretty annoying.

I do usually talk with myself; however, I have conversations with my "inner voice" more often. I will have debates with this inner voice to view subjects in a different perspective. It really helps when I'm reflecting upon important decisions; also, I find it a lot more interesting than having one sided/voiced thoughts. I do this during trivial things as well, such as solving a math problem. During the trivial matters, I will actually speak out loud because it helps prevent making silly mistakes. I'm also quite notorious for talking to myself when playing games. I use to talk to myself all the time, but I'm guessing the conversations with my "inner voice" became a substitute as I grew.

Quite frequently, yes. I talk to myself whenever I'm alone, usually when I've got something on my mind. Other times, however, I may just be holding a little conversation with myself about whatever has  been going down. It's a great way to clear my mind of anything stressful and relax.

Who doesn't talk to themselves?

I always find myself talking to my inner self and voice 99% of the time mentally and quietly. At times, I would talk out loud in public and people would look at me weird looks and confusion. At least by talking to yourself, there is no wrong answer or criticism.

I talk to myself all the time, it really helps me with my social anxiety. Sometimes I pick topics so I can practice how to express myself better around strangers. I talk to myself when I'm writing stories, and when I'm trying to work through something. I also read out loud to myself every now and then......That last one is admittedly weird. I am I the only one that talks to them self mentally and verbally?

I talk to myself all the time. I can have a complete conversation with myself and I have even argued with myself. I may actually be a little crazy because when I walk for long distances I become my own radio. I play music in my head whether I want to or not and its always the catchy tunes. Plus since I don't own a phone I can't tune it out so I have chosen to embrace it.

I try not to in public situations, but I do find myself slipping in a word every now and then. Nothing too much, just a couple words here and there. If I need to rant to myself, I'll usually do it in my head.

Now I'll just write in here that I don't talk to myself and everyone will believe I am not a self-talker, me.

Well done, me, you know someone talking to themselves is really just an intelligent means of conversation.

I know, right?

Too true - oh wait, me, you didn't type down the words we are speaking right now did you?

You mean did I write down what we are just saying out loud to myself? ..........................................................................uh, no?

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
