There were two baseball games over the last few seasons that I had to play through horrible weather. One was about 110 degrees (very hot for both baseball weather and for our area), and the other was just above freezing, and was pouring rain the entire time. Luckily, the first game was a blowout, and since I sat out the first half, I barely had to play in it. But the second one went on forever, and it was probably the worst game I've had to play in.

I have only had to run cross country in some semi heavy rain before, it happened during practice and an actual game where it started to pour, thankfully it was near over when the rain started though. That is about it as severe weather goes, it was in the summer though. Aside from the heat which is normal (and still sucked) I haven't played a sport in extreme weather conditions. I have never had to worry about lightning or snow or anything because the only sport I do is cross country which is in the summer and I haven't had a lightning storm during practice yet...

To be honest, I strongly dislike playing sports meanwhile the weather is extremely warm and extremely frozen. I would enjoy playing sports meanwhile the weather is rainy and snowy.

I had several times because I play soccer, but the two worst were these:
1: It was raining incredibly hard so I thought the game would be cancelled but it went on because we played on fake grass. So everybody was completely soaked and the whole game it kept raining.
2: Once there was a lot of strong wind and when you kicked the ball the course would change because of the wind. At some point somebody was hit this way and the game was cancelled.

When I was in high school I played a playoff game at the end of October and the weather was extremely cold.  It was single digits and some sleet came down and hit us throughout.  I was lucky because I was playing and I stayed warm from running around but the guys on the sidelines were suffering.  The refs played through because the play-offs had to be finished and they couldn't reschedule the game.
We lost and I went home and sat in the bathtub for an hour after eating soup.  I'd take heat over cold any day.  Cold kills me and it's the worse of the two options.

I'll play soccer in a desert.  I would do it on a glacier but I'd rather not.

For me, the personal worst I've ever had to perform in was this blistering heat.

I'm a cross country runner, and thus, I run in every weather.

One day in the preseason of cross country in high school, we had to run a 5k in blistering heat with horribly high humidity. It was the most miserable conditions I'd ever run in (I finished that race in about 23 minutes, it was before I got fast.)

But some people say the worst conditions I've ever run in was this freezing rain we seem to have all the time. I used to run in rain for FUN, so I guess my view on the matter is a little different.

Like once, I ran 20 miles in a torrential downpour (it was after the brunt of a hurricane that had died down and become a tropical storm I think), and enjoyed every second of it. When I got home, I was so drenched, that when I took my clothes off to get in the shower, I felt about 30 pounds lighter. I laughed a lot that day and felt invincible.

I haven't had to except a couple of times it used to get really hot like 100+ degrees.. and it was terrible I never got intercepted with rain.. many of my friends did and a lot of the football players had to deal with that part of the weather a lot.. it does it really bad and sometimes you just have to push through it.

I have played basketball outside with friends when it was pouring and we all loved it. The worst weather is actually the summer when it's too hot to do anything and we try to play soccer or basketball. Everyone is burning and falling on the pavement hurts twice as the driveway is really hot. It was really bad just this summer when the temperature soared over 100 for two consecutive days.

One day a couple of years ago, one of my baseball games got pushed back by a couple of weeks and because of this, we had to play in 40 degree weather and it was terrible.

I once had to do an off road cycling race in the Snow. Most of the course was cleared up but some of it was left alone so we had to dismount and stomp through almost half of a lap and a lap was about 2 miles. Doing that was more tiering than the actual on bike racing, luckily most of it began to clear up by the end of the race so we could ride most of the course.
