I played a N64 game with the Mupen64 Plus. After I had been playing for several months, Avast! detected a threat for the Mupen64 Plus. But this did not effect my computer's performance. Is there something wrong with Mupen64 Plus plugin? If so, can you fix it?

There is really nothing wrong with this. I had similar problems with avast detecting threats on different pages on vizzed. I would not worry about Mupen, there would not be a virus on there. Avast thinks safely, it will notify you if it predicts there being some sort of computer risk. It is usually right but I know that it is not this time since I have had other threat messages from avast all over this site.

It's probably the ad and not Vizzed itself that was triggered. Is there a report from this that you could submit?

Yea, It's most likely either the ads or your antivirus acting up. Not vizzed itself. The ads are really annoying. I got randomly redirected to this without even clicking on the ad.

It might mostly be an advertisement that caused the detecting threat on the site because the site is really safe, but David will get this issue taken care of and you should hopefully not see this issue in the coming future.

I do not use Avast!, but as geeogree had mentioned above, do you believe an advertisement online Vizzed had triggered Avast! to believe your safeness had been threatened and it had not been the plugin of Mupen64? I mean, considering this website has been up and running for approximately 9.05427 years now and there have been very little complaints about threats being detected, I am positive it was most likely a miscomprehension with your software of protection. Hopefully it shall not proceed to a more severe issue. I wish you positive luck to yourself and your computer!

The same thing happens to me as well. I think it's just the ads that are on the website.. I do get redericted a lot of times but I just close out and my avast was giving me "threats detected" also. I wouldn't worry to much about it seeing as avast takes care of the problem. This site is 100% safe and I'm sure David will work on the problems with the ads as soon as possible.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
