Hello hello hello,It is i RELINQUISHED, And i need to ask you guys a very quick question,Who is the best starter in x and y,And know not "Who do you think is the best starter" I need the BEST starter,On a technical level,Just add up ALL the gyms,And the elite 4,And tell me,In return you will get...nothing,Maybe 500 Viz or something,I don't really care about Viz,And i don't get the currency system anyway,So give me an answer,And if i think its right,All of the people who picked that Pokemon,Will get 500 viz,Seriously i don't care about viz,You can take it all away....

I have found myself relying on Fennekin the most. You'll sweep through the beginning of the game, and by the time you may encounter a problem, you'll have enough levels on it so it won't really affect you. 

Spoilers ahead: 

There's a bug gym, an ice gym, a fairy gym (fairy doesn't do much damage to fire), a fighting gym (it gets psybeam), a grass gym, and a steel elite four user! 

It has the bulk Froakie lacks, at least specially (it's physical defence will be your only concern). It's great in speed, special attack, special defence, pretty good in HP, but bad in attack and defence. (Why would you run a physical one anyways). Super train in defence and it won't be much of a concern.

The hardest part with Fennekin is the Rock gym (the second one). Find a way around that and you're home-free!

Unlike generation 5, I think all the starters are pretty good. But personally, I like Fenniken the best, as stats go. His high special attack, and good type combo is really good. Froakie is really good as well, and although Chespin is as well, I'd prefer the others with their high special attack stats. Keep in mind that I don't have the game, this is based off of stats and move sets only.
Unlike generation 5, I think all the starters are pretty good. But personally, I like Fenniken the best, as stats go. His high special attack, and good type combo is really good. Froakie is really good as well, and although Chespin is as well, I'd prefer the others with their high special attack stats. Keep in mind that I don't have the game, this is based off of stats and move sets only.

If you're looking for something to go through the game with, I'd suggest not using any of them. If for competitive reasons, Froakie/Greninja is the best of the starters by FAR. Not only is it a good Pokemon either way, it's secret ability is protean, which turns it in to the type of move it is using. Not only is every move stab(Same Type Attack Boost) it can learn moves like grass knot and spikes which can really put a twist in to battling!

There really is no 'best' starter. Each one could breeze through the game depending on how you use it. It all comes down to your personal preference.

Yeah, I agree, they can all be user accordingly well and it all comes down to what you want, while both froakie and fennekin have high special attack, chespin has high hp and attack. But overall I think they are all good, I originally picked froakie, but now I have obtained all 3 starters  through either trade or friend safari. I think they are a lot better than the gen 5 starters, they were okay, but these are mush better and they have much better stats in my opinion. Chespin learns some really good moves in its final form. I have the game and I think that each starter is strong in their own way.

I personally prefer Fennekin. I was going to chose Froakie, since most thought Fennekin was the best and I wanted to try something different, but after using Fennekin, Braixen, and Delphox, I found that they were my favorite. Mine is an absolute beast, with high special attack and overwhelming speed. Her name is Olivia, and she has Flamethrower, Hidden Power (Flying), Psychic, and Shadow Ball, and she kicks tail.

I always go with Grass starters so its Chespin for me. I like how its final evolution looks. Cool. Just how I like it.  But the best..... depends on the Champion's type.  Since you are most likely to use your starter against the Champion then you will probably pick the type that rivals that of the champion to have an Advantage later on. But I am still going with Chespin.

Well, I'm not sure which Pokemon X and Y starter is the 'best', but my favorite is Chespin, that's for sure! I chose it in my Pokemon Y file, and I named it Chester ! It's adorable and strong at the same time, and it's final evolution is epic ^^! It is also my favorite sixth generation Pokemon, not only sixth generation starter! I love it!

Chespin is ugly and all it's evolution forms are ugly, and I really don't care if it's the most powerful Pokemon in the world. Just don't like to pick ugly Pokemon's in my team, so I will never pick that one.

Fennekin looks pretty cool, and can use psychic move's so it's much better choise than the old fire/fight starters..... So I might pick it some day...

Froakie looks so awesome, and it's water/dark insane Ninja frog ! so that will be my first pick when I buy that game. :3
