Alrighty, I think the question and title says it all. My personal favorite is Fantasy. Almost entirely because of magic, weapons and armor. Not to mention mythical monsters and other beings.

EDIT: I went to click on Fantasy, but my computer screen changed and made me click on Sci-Fi. Anyone know how to change my choice?

Yeah, I can’t really choose. Fantasy basically lets your imagination run wild, while Sci Fi also lets your imagination run wild, but with all sorts of cool futuristic devices and such.

I'm leaning towards the fantasy genre but I cant help but love it when technology is made fantastical to. I'm split. I love the crazy weapon and suit designs from sci-fi but I also love magic use. Maybe that's one of the reasons I love LoL, the characters use technology and magic, sometimes on the same character even. If there was guns and jetpacks in a world were there was magic and giant spiders, dragons, lichs, and various other magical beasts I'd be fine with that.

You know, in the past, this would have been a really obviously answered question for me. However, as with many of my old likes and tastes, I find that a lot of my opinions have been evolving and changing. Part of me feels really drawn to fantasy, but the unfortunate bit is that most people seem to think magic is a necessary part of fantasy (and I don't agree with that).  This makes it truly hard for me to find fantasy that I can enjoy, nowadays.

Because of this, and because I've been growing a strong liking for this recently... I'm going to have to go for sci-fi.  Even though there aren't a lot of votes, I'm very surprised to see everything so evenly split. lol

I had to vote for can't choose because I like equal amounts of both. There's way too many good ones out there to narrow it down and choose just one. The only form of entertainment that I can think of where the choice would be easy is the books I tend to read. As far as books go I tend to like fantasy a lot more.

I think both are pretty good but for some reason fantasy seems to interest me a little more. I clicked Science Fiction because I am a steampunk kind of person. Anything with cogs, brass, and pirates on giant floating air boats . Also the occasional goblin delivery Zeppelin, all that stuff floats my boat.

I'd probably have to say that fantasy is slightly better than sci fi even though I love Star Wars. The reason I say this is because I feel like there are more great fantasy titles out there such as lord of the rings and harry potter that are just as good as Star Wars is.

Usually it will involve modern day humans or maybe advanced a hundred years or more. The books I'm reading right now don't really say what year it is but you can tell it's at least a thousand years into the future. There's enough there that you can recognize but mankind has made a few advances in the interim. Fantasy on the other hand is just that, fantasy. I don't believe in magic or dragons so there's that. I really haven't read any good fantasy in a long time. I used to read the Dragonlance stories and I loved them. Especially the first six books. Not a big fan of the Hobbit though. Don't really know why. Never was. The book was really long I remember..
