Alrighty, I think the question and title says it all. My personal favorite is Fantasy. Almost entirely because of magic, weapons and armor. Not to mention mythical monsters and other beings.

EDIT: I went to click on Fantasy, but my computer screen changed and made me click on Sci-Fi. Anyone know how to change my choice?

A little bit of both.

I like Sci-Fi better than Fantasy when they are mutually exclusive. However, that's never the case, but the combination of the two yield the greatest movies anyway.

Fantasy or sci-fi? That is a tough one. Almost all my favorite films are sci-fi like Aliens, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, The original Star Wars trilogy, Robo-cop, Iron man, Back to the Future and others. Yet There is another spark for fantasy because of its atomosphere and its many different mythologies it creates. So I believe it is a tie. Wait never mind its Sci-fi

Hey, the votes are equivalent to each other! Haha! Anyways, I would prefer science fiction than fantasy. I find science fiction to be more intriguing, considering there is realistic action occurring within it. Also, fantasy is not really my thing, I mean, if I were to see something on television involving this genre, I would most likely skip it, but it were to be science fiction, I might just stay on the channel.

I'm leaning towards the fantasy genre but I cant help but love it when technology is made fantastical to. I'm split. I love the crazy weapon and suit designs from sci-fi but I also love magic use. Maybe that's one of the reasons I love LoL, the characters use technology and magic, sometimes on the same character even. If there was guns and jetpacks in a world were there was magic and giant spiders, dragons, lichs, and various other magical beasts I'd be fine with that.

Fantasy all the way. I like star wars HATE star trek. And love fantasy.

You know, in the past, this would have been a really obviously answered question for me. However, as with many of my old likes and tastes, I find that a lot of my opinions have been evolving and changing. Part of me feels really drawn to fantasy, but the unfortunate bit is that most people seem to think magic is a necessary part of fantasy (and I don't agree with that).  This makes it truly hard for me to find fantasy that I can enjoy, nowadays.

Because of this, and because I've been growing a strong liking for this recently... I'm going to have to go for sci-fi.  Even though there aren't a lot of votes, I'm very surprised to see everything so evenly split. lol

I like Fantasy more because you can have a mix of Sci-Fi and other elements of Fantasy in there, instead of just having to stick with Robotics of Computers in Sci-Fi.

I would choose Fantasy over Sci-fi because it's more of my thing as it helps me to express myself more in ways I write or the times I read books like it and there are more interesting then Sci-Fi as sometimes it can get somewhat just too unreal. As fantasy is just letting loose all your emotions into a blob but making it work into a wondrous story. That's what I feel anyway

I had to vote for can't choose because I like equal amounts of both. There's way too many good ones out there to narrow it down and choose just one. The only form of entertainment that I can think of where the choice would be easy is the books I tend to read. As far as books go I tend to like fantasy a lot more. 

I couldn't really choose. Both genres are pretty similar. I think Fantasy would overall win though because it can use some of the same aspects as Sci-Fi. Harry Potter is an awesome example of Fantasy for me. Fantasy is cool when it uses magic, but it doesn't always have to have magic in it. That's why it can seem like Sci-Fi. When I think of Fantasy, I also think of mythical beasts like dragons and centaurs .

I think both are pretty good but for some reason fantasy seems to interest me a little more. There seems to be quite a bit of science fiction or at least science fiction elements in a lot of movies now so I guess sci-fi sort of lost it's effect on me a bit. And maybe I like fantasy more because it is not done as often, making the genre seem a bit more fresh.

I clicked Science Fiction because I am a steampunk kind of person. Anything with cogs, brass, and pirates on giant floating air boats . Also the occasional goblin delivery Zeppelin, all that stuff floats my boat.

I personally like fantasy the most. I also like Sci-Fi but fantasy is my favorite. I think both are great but Fantasy is more appealing to me in a sense I guess you could say.

I said I wasn't sure because I like both genres. I like the Sci Fi of Star Wars and Star Trek. While, as the same time, I like the fantasy of stuff like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. 

I'd probably have to say that fantasy is slightly better than sci fi even though I love Star Wars. The reason I say this is because I feel like there are more great fantasy titles out there such as lord of the rings and harry potter that are just as good as Star Wars is.

I prefer Sci-Fi and I think the reason why is that good Sci-Fi for me can make me believe something could actually happen. And for one thing, I think of Star Wars as definitely more fantasy than sci-fi. The sub-genre of hard sci-fi is the best. Usually it will involve modern day humans or maybe advanced a hundred years or more. The books I'm reading right now don't really say what year it is but you can tell it's at least a thousand years into the future. There's enough there that you can recognize but mankind has made a few advances in the interim. Fantasy on the other hand is just that, fantasy. I don't believe in magic or dragons so there's that. I really haven't read any good fantasy in a long time. I used to read the Dragonlance stories and I loved them. Especially the first six books. Not a big fan of the Hobbit though. Don't really know why. Never was. The book was really long I remember..
