I wasn't sure whether to put this in the "movie" or "television" forum, but either one goes.

When I was about 5 years old, they were filming Forrest Gump on the Island where I lived in SC, I "met" tom Hanks at a place called the Shrimp Shack and I remember he ordered the shrimp burger, I barely remember it, but it was a completely fantastic experience in my life, and I still think Forrest Gump is one of the best movies ever made.

Anyway, have you ever seen or met a celebrity?

Good question, I do not think that I have physically seen or met a celebrity in person. At least at a point that i could remember in my life. If I was really young then chances are, i don't remember it. But in my life I don't think I have met one.

I think to be 100% sure I would have to ask my parents for this, especially for the years I was to young to remember. But as far as I know, I don't think I have.  Good question by the way and i think that Forrest gump is a pretty awesome movie as well! 

Does the Blue Man Group count as a group of celebrities? Lol. 

If so, then yes, I would say the Blue Man Group. I was on a trip to Boston, and attended one of their gigs...I do respect them and their talent, but their shows are a little bit repetitive...PVC piping, the dancing thing at the end, the paint drums, but hey, that's their signature stuff, and it's awesome. 

My friend got to take a picture with one of the three, and I did shake hands with one as well...dunno who is who lol. 

I haven't personally met any famous people, although my family and I were very famous locally for a short while. My grandfather, however, met Barack Obama when they went to a restaurant, and talked with him. They are friends of the owners of the restaurant and the restaurant owners are friends of Obama.

Sure. Dont know if any local celebrities would say anything to any of you but Ville Valo of HIM of the boring "Goth" metal band was a regular in the same bar/pool hall where I used to go play some pool years ago and I pass his dads porn shop almost every day. Also our ex-president lives couple of blocks away and I run into her quite often.

haha I met marianas trench back in 2012, they were at the stampede and I went just to see them, stood in line for hours after the concert just to meet them.

I have never seen or met a celebrity before. I currently am not interested in meeting any celebrities because I don't know any celebrities very well.

Not sure if this counts, but I have gotten autographs and talked a bit to some celebrities, although never actually talked to them for too much. The list includes Stan Lee, Tony Kakko, and Christopher Eccleston. I've met more, but those are really the top 3 biggest (for me, at least.

I lived in Boston for a few years and I worked in Copley Plaza. ?There was a super nice hotel called the Mandarin Orient (sp?) that had famous people stay there. ?I walked to work every day, about a mile commute, and one day, on a quiet Friday morning, I was strolling down the sidewalk. ?In front of the hotel was Adam Sandler loading a rental van with some valet guys with luggage. ?I double-taked because I wasn't sure it was him but it was. ?I always thought I'd be unimpressed with anyone famous but I couldn't wait to tell everyone at work.

I didn't say anything to him and I just breezed by while he was on the sidewalk. ?I pretended it wasn't a big deal but I went in and was like, "EVERYONEISAWADAMSANDLERITWASSOOOOOAWESOME!!!!"

That's my only brush with celebrity.

Ooh, also my wife is a competitive marathon runner and she qualified for Boston in Kona, Hawaii.  Frank Shorter, Olympic gold medalist and all around running world champion did the awards and he chatted with us after the race and during the awards ceremony.  He's one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet.

I met Billy West and Spike Spencer at NYCC this year.

Both of them are....interesting.

During the summer of 2012, Tropfest, which is the worlds largest short fim festival held it's first event in NY and the host was Hugh Jackman.

Never met a celebrity but on the TV yes ! Smiley, ConnectR and many others!

I saw one direction live!! Does that count? They're celebrities haha it was soo amazing like you don't even know, they are so great. I have this friend that says that they're not really that musically talented and he's probably right haha but I don't care

No, I have never seen any worldwide known celebrity. I have seen a couple of lame-o's from some science show on the MTV on an Honor Society school trip to the studios, but that's about it. I also have met and became friends with the son of a famous singer in my country. And, I'm friends with the son of the man who created 4G. I do not know if it counts as a celebrity, but oh, well.

Sure, I've met local celebrities near here and some are even the parents of my classmates. I have not seen any big celebrities, but I have seen governors and senators individually in real life. I've seen all sorts of popular singers and there are a few that live just a little ways away from me.

I didn't exactly meet him but while at a Raptors game for a field trip I saw Drake not too far from where I was sitting.he wwasn't exactly dressed for the occasion though as he was wearing a blue jays shirt =p. I'm not sure if she counts as a celebrity but I met Ruby Dahla once (leader of Bramptons liberal party) not exactly a big deal but whatever.

When I was about 12 or 13 years old I went to A hockey game. It was a Flames game but for the life of me I cannot remember who they were playing and sitting directly in front of me was actor Jay Moore. It was pretty awesome because at the time one of my favorite movies "Picture Perfect" he happens to be one of the main male rolls. Other then that I've seen tons. At concerts but I'm guessing that's not what you meant

Nope I have never got a chance to meet a celebrity maybe I just don't get out enough? Or maybe it's because they don't really come around where I live unless it's at a concert which I rarely go to. Maybe one day I can meet one
