Assuming there isn't anyone in front of me, I will likely either walk up the escalator or run up the escalator, the only time I probably wouldn't when no one is in the way would be when my legs are hurting from that day, otherwise, I'm getting up that escalator as fast as I possibly can without having everyone look at me like I'm totally insane.

I run. Escalators are just too dang slow for me. Plus, I like to have a little exercise when going up escalators lol, no matter how small. Just to add a small bit of calorie burning and such. 

I get a speed boost going up escalators while running, which is really fun. 

The only time I do not run/walk up the escalators is when I ever have something heavy to carry. I really choose not to run up in case I ever trip, and then chaos ensues. Not good.

I try to avoid escalators because I hate them but if I had to go on one I would possibly make an attempt to run up it.

Because I rarely encounter them, I usually like to have some fun first. I like to walk the opposite direction when nobody's on so I stay in one position. But after I'm done goofing around or get yelled at, I just let the escalator do the work.

We were all at the mall, and running up the escalators, and running down them. But we would run up the one that went down. vise versa. We got in trouble, and got kicked out for the day. But It was so worth it!
