Well I have seen a lot of new series lately on that channel and I have to say it is getting out of hand . I mean . They start . They have like 10 episodes . Then they are not heard of again . But I could be wring . What do you guys think ? 

When I was young, I remembered watching Nickelodeon a lot. Like, a lot. 

I don't watch television as much anymore, mainly for ESPN and football games. I do babysit though, so sometimes the little kids watch Nickelodeon. I saw some shows on it, and it seems a bit bland nowadays. I do remember seeing some Sponge Bob, but that's really the only thing that makes me look back and see a good side to Nickelodeon. There are some new kids shows (I remember seeing Ariana Grande in it, and she plays a not-so-smart character...why?). It really wasn't funny, and the fake crowd laughter wasn't helping. Lol. 

I feel that cartoons these days are getting a bit rubbish, and really don't make sense anymore. I remember Tom and Jerry, that was a nice show. Not here anymore though. 

One thing that got me a little excited was the Avatar Korra series, because I really liked the Last Airbender series when I was young. Avatar Korra was way too short...barely any episodes. Now they start again like 3 or 4 months now? (I do not know how long, sorry). 

Yeah I agree, a lot of them hardly last and they end up getting cancelled in such a short period of time. I just don't really think that they are all that great to be honest. Spongebob will probably go on forever and ever, and most of the other shows will come on and then get cancelled or they will just never come on again after a few episodes. Like fanboy and chum chum for example, I don't know how long it lasted, but it almost never comes on anymore.

So I definitely agree that nick has a lot of new series, most of which never last more than a year or so, and they just aren't that good or funny in my opinion. I think the quality of cartoons is definitely declining. I think tom and Jerry is the best though. Spongebob got steadily worse after the movie came out though. 

That's because nicklodeon stink at making shows and cartoons now, I grew up in the golden era of nickelodeon shows. Kenan and Kel, ren and stimpy, invader zim, spongebob's first few seasons, catdog, rocko's modern life etc. Now it's all about relationship reality shows and mediocre at best cartoons.

I think in a way that they have been adding too much new series at one time which is too much, I remember when I was younger when I watched Nick, They don't really talk about new series all the time and keep on going with newer episodes of the current series and release like around 2 series a year, but now they're a whole lot of newer series coming in, but I'm thinking like way too much for Nick to handle at one time.

I do think Nick is having more new series coming out of nowhere. Sometimes I think that there rushing a bit to find new shows to replace old ones that have ended. Honestly 90's Nick seemed awesome, 90's nick had shows like Cat Dog, Hey Arnold and kenan and kel which seemed like cool shows to watch.  I have to admit I do like some new shows that have been coming out yet most of them seem to much for me.

Yes I do. Every few weeks they are coming out with new bad ones, and getting rid of all the old good ones. I mean, what is up with things like every witch way? Seriously.

If you saw Disney's series, you'd think Nickelodeon barely had any.

I agree with IgorBird122 about how Nick has changed since I watched it a few years ago. There were rarely new shows and a few major ones. There would only be one new show every few months. I remember seeing it recently (maybe about a year ago) and seeing the commercials for all sorts of weird shows that were premiering that seemed like copies of other shows or so weird that I don't know how it would last. It seems like Nick is trying to beat quality with quantity.

I believe the entire universe of television is releasing too many series. Current television is complete with a great amount of nonsense, but there are always those great series you may catch or notice and view or watch.

i'm thinking that they just lazy they had so many great show like Victorious and they never finished it

deg2000 : Oh, so they're not only introducing tons of new shows for no reason, but prematurely ending previous shows? It might be due to popularity ratings but for my impression of Nick it's not doing wonders.

They are really making a lot of unnecessary new tv show which aren't that great and they die out and get cancelled after 1 season, it is ridiculous, this is the reason why I stop watching tv in general, good shows get replaced by absolute garbage, like the science channels for example, they are replaced by naked people recording themselves in the wild after starving for weeks, there is little science in that, sure maybe a survival skill or 2, but really?? And then there is redneck fishing and a bunch of other garbage. That is why I hate tv now...ugh... So yeah nickelodeon is going down the toilet big time. 

Nickelodeon has too many mediocre shows and also too many new shows. The Thundermans, Haunted Hathaways, it's everywhere. Back in 2011, there was this show, T.U.F.F Puppy, and it was forgotten, and there's barely any episodes of it. Not a good or popular show if I do say so myself. Nick needs to slow down on the new shows, and old good ones are forgotten.  

I agree with this topic, Nick came up with a bunch of new shows like the Thundermans and etc. How about Winnie (guess of name lol) and Wendell? That show kind of failed and now they almost never show it. 

But I still really don't like some of these shows.

Yes they do have to many new series. Most of them are getting cancelled really quickly though because of how bad some of them are.
