They have announced that they are going to put Minecraft on the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. No release date yet, but it will most likely happen. What do you think about this? I am not really interested in Minecraft, not just into it.

So no Xbox 1 or Nintendo platforms? Seems like they would try to take advantage of every system. But anyways, I'm guessing they will still be inferior to the pc version, especially the Vita version. If I were to ever get Minecraft, I would stay with the pc version. Either way, I'm sure they will sell tons of copies no matter what.

Minecraft was originally going to go to the Wii U but they cancelled the launch because the Wii U did not reach 1,000,000 sales in a certain time period. I think it is nice they are spreading the Minecraft love around the console families. I can see it going onto the Wii U eventually but not after a year or so. 
What I do not understand is why they are making Minecraft again for the future consoles. When you look at the graphics of Minecraft you just question Mojang why would it need a console update. Hopefully on the next gen consoles you would be able to get previous downloaded games, a little like what the 3DS had with the DSI software.

According to Sony PlayStation's blog; Minecraft will be releasing on the PSN as a downloadable game today! (17 December, 2013).

I have never played a Minecraft game before, but depending on the price; I may have to try it out now that I can get it for PS3.
