(I'm not sure where this go so I'll post it here, if this goes somewhere else, fell free to move it, but I think it belongs in a good place.)
I created this thread just to mention on some of the annoyance and stupid advertisements, and some don't really make that much sense, like some I don't get is that "Congratulations, you're the 100,000 visitor", I'm like, wait, that doesn't make sense because I know they're way more than just 100,000 visitors to the site, more than a million. Not just that, but those location ads like "[Your Hometown] Electricians will be mad about this trick".

Those ads to me don't make sense.
(I'm not sure where this go so I'll post it here, if this goes somewhere else, fell free to move it, but I think it belongs in a good place.)

I hate those ads! They are my least favorite and the most annoying. I mean I don't like business ads, but at least they aren't a scam! Some of the other ones are the super food one, the weight loss one, and the meet hot singles in your area one.

Yeah I really used to hate all those annoying false advertisements they would show on internet explorer. I would always try to close them out and it would take me to another page and it was just really annoying to me.

Thankfully now that I switched to chrome a few years back, I don't have to put up with this problem anymore because chrome has adblock extensions and other useful add ons to make browsing as smooth as possible.

In the past I'd get ads saying I am the 1000th person for blah blah blah, and you win a free laptop, but I knew better and I knew it wasa trick. But yeah I really hated false advertisement. Thankfully it is not a problem for me now thanks to chrome.

All of them may as well say "Free virus!".

I have never clicked any of them and I have almost always never believed them, especially when one of those "You're the *insert number here* visitor" ads pops up on vizzed, like that one about being the 100,000th visitor. I always ignore that one because I know there are a LOT more visitors to vizzed than that. I have seen those ads for years and me nor anyone else in my family has thought of getting an Ad Blocker until I thought of it a couple months ago and now my internet speed is a bit faster.

I absolutely HATE those ads that you're talking about. They're so confusing especially when you're trying to download something. Its like "where do I click and what in the world am I about the download?" Of course the thing with the "You're the blah blah blah winner no lie 100% truth" I always tend to ignore those because I'm always afraid that they carry viruses. In fact I'm pretty sure that some of them do. I guess they're just there to earn money and to trick people who fall for those things? Anyways, bottom line is that those ads are annoying and not to mention probably have some crazy side-effects when you click them unless you have a good virus protection.

People just want to make money (illegally) through you clicking the ads. They are on this site and many others because the owners of the site make money from views. Since most users on this site are wise Davideo7 probably earns more money than the scammers. However the less intelligent will face on of two things.

2. They instal a virus, generally a phishing virus but you can also get snooped on or give more fake error ads (which even come up on the official windows errors) with a trojan horse.

I was snooped on through a trojan horse for a day. I was scared to see my webcam light come on and to hear a voice. I re-built my netbook (screw that I have a PC now) to get rid of it as soon as I could.

What I hate the most about those ads, in my opinion, is that after a while of getting these ads that are most likely scams, I’m still skeptical of the ones that might actually be true. Because of this, I might actually miss out on something.
