Just a general question here. As the thread title says, how long does it take you to get to your school. I ride on the bus and it takes about 30 minutes to get to school. Not including all of the stops we have to make along the way. We stop like 2 times in my neighborhood and then we go to another neighborhood and we make like 3 or 4 stops and then we head of to school. It takes about 30 or so minutes on average, with a  a substitute bus driver, it takes maybe 40 because we have to direct them on where to go and where kids get picked up.


So my question is, how long does it take you to get to school?

I take the bus as well. It usually takes about 20 minutes, but in the beginning of the year, there were so many kids on my bus! Every single seat was a triple-seater lol. Now, it's just a few triple-seaters, but my bus is still crammed.

Hmm... Back in Canada, I'd be able to drive (legally, of course!), despite their really strict car laws. That would take 5 minutes, as I know a shortcut and I may have driven... Faster than the desired speed, sometimes...

Here in Los Angeles, I'm gonna get my learner's permit soon. I have to take the bus, which takes about 20 minutes including the stops we have to make. If I miss the bus, my dad gets pretty angry, and gets there in 10 minutes. But, he does follow the speeding laws, don't worry.

This year, I can choose to take two city buses to school. I walk five blocks to the first bus, take that about a mile and a half, and take another bus another mile and a half to my school, so it may take 45 minutes to an hour. Seeing that I am like the 2nd pickup for my bus, it takes me around 20 to 25 minutes to arrive at school. That is if the idiots don't hold up the bus all the time because they are blabbering their mouths and don't get on the bus.

It takes me roughly 45 minutes to walk there so I just pop in my earphones and listen to some good old Chemical Brothers on my iPod. I prefer walking than cycling which only takes me 10 - 15 minutes to get there since I do love my music. I take it easy to make my journey and I do not really care if I am late, detentions are detentions. I have had many so I am rather use to it anyway. I like to take in the music slowly, I take more mind into that than actually walking. Music makes me feel great, the way the Chemical Brothers release their content makes me happy even if most of their songs do not even have any singing in it.

For the most part, it didn't take too long for me to get to my schools. One high school I went to I had to take two city buses to get there, which probably took about 40 minutes or so. Other than that, it never took me more than 10 or 15 minutes.

I had a substitute bus driver today, and I have had one this entire week (my bus driver always misses a lot of days throughout the year, and the year just started) And she did not know where she was going even with directions and it took about 45 minutes to finally get to school and I showed up late to class by like 10. So that is the longest it has ever taken to get to my high school. She literally took us everywhere but the normal route that we usually take.

Thankfully she knew where she was going on the ride back home or I would've been very, very upset!
