Alright before I get started on this. Let me explain something to everyone.

You see higher ranks have a previlege of Using their hidden fourms for Extra Post, and Points in the vcs and tour de vizzed.


So I was thinking  Why not Exclude or not count those post in.

This would make the competetion a little less unfair, and More better for everyone. especially considering some of them Might be just normals. =)

Yeah this gives trusted+ an advantage but this also rewards the users who do good things on vizzed. If the normal members try a little harder they can beat the trusted members.

I agree with this Crash...the last thing we want is a lot of trouble brewing the TDV. This should be fair for all Users that will compete in October. This was a good thread to do. ^-^

Well, I would say that this would be valid if people posting for VCS and TdV made a lot of posts in the trusted only forum. But that is not the case. Those forums get very little activity, and have never remotely been the cause of someone doing better. Probably because it is a lot harder to spam those forums because a lot of the threads are more specific, and require actual thought. People who seriously participate in VCS look for threads that essentially require very little reading so their posts can just be kinda vague for the sake of making fast posts. That comment might offend people who try to be serious competitors and deny that they personally do that, but that is just the truth. The two competitions have been turned into a spam contest, really. That is the reason I stopped participating. Competition time are when the lowest quality posts are made.

This honestly isn't that much of a bad idea. Even though it doesn't really do much of a difference, it will still help Trusted+ members to be on the safe side of being DQ'd for posting in the private forums. (Plus the spam thread might be open that way without trouble *wink*)

I've had this same thought myself except that the results of the VCS and TdV more often go towards the normal members who are competing for the first time. The number of posts that go to private/hidden forums aren't significant enough to require David to recode both competitions
