My first system was the NES. Super Mario Bros. 1 was the first game I ever played.

I guess I am old enough to have had an Atari, but expensive things were few and far between growing up. I got an NES in 1989 with Mario/duck hunt and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1. I truly feel I grew up during the golden era of gaming...

The first console I owned myself was a Gameboy Advance SP but it wasn't the first in my house. My dad had a PS1 and then later on a PS2. By the time I was able or shall I say allowed to play video games, he had thrown out the PS1 for the PS2. I played a lot of the PS2, I loved it so much!
I can just remember playing Wipeout and spyro even though they were PS1 games. Also there was Gran Turismo 3 and of course 4. Both games I played for hours on end. I may not of completed any of those game but I did finish the LEGO games, they were fun but quite easy if a 7 or 8 year old could beat it.

Mine was the PlayStation 2, but I pretty much stop playing It after I got the Nintendo DS and Wii. I started playing It again a few months ago but the spindle hub broke (Just my luck) so I play It anymore until I get a new one. (But my first game for It was Ben 10: Alien Force and SnoCross 2)

My first console was SNES, which I remember getting on Christmas. I forget exactly what year that was, but I do remember it coming with Super Mario World, and I it was amazing.
On an unrelated note, I also remember my mom accidentally tripping over my controller wire and nearly breaking the system. As a child, I think I might have perceived this as a "near death" experience.
