So what's your favorite Season of Pokémon? Mine is the second

my favorite season was the first one indigo league i like how when ash first try to catch a pokemon i forgot its name but he try to capture it on his own and he failed then pikachu starts laughing i also like hoen but the first season was the best for me like how he has to leave butterfree it what sad when i was a kid then goes to flashbacks when he first caught caterpie but yeah i like indigo its my favorite

The 1st season where it all begin along with every Johto season.

The first season is obviously the best season that's when the series was young and there were plenty of ideas to go around I wish that they would show the first season though and just give up on showing the newer episodes of the series.

The first season - it's basically the season that got people hooked up on Pokémon.

That would be the first and original season. Mainly because it had loads of amazing episodes I watched as a kid. 

The first season will always be my favorite for a few reasons:

1) There was not much room for subbed/dubbed angry parental companies to really change any of the original dialogue. They actually only went as far as banning like 2-3 episodes instead and kept everything as they were and the 2-3 episodes they ended up banning were just filler episodes anyways so it didn't really impact anyone. Also the Orange league was really neat as well as the Pokemon Championship episodes where Ash mopped the floor with a trainer by only using Krabby which will always be my favorite episode just because I have no idea who the hell could sweep such a decent team with a Krabby and have it evolve randomly in the middle.

And just to comment on the Orange league Drake vs Ash was really amazing to watch and just seeing Pokemon being used in different events and challenges was really neat because they were far from dumb episodes.

3) Seeing the transition of both Charizard and Pikachu was absolutely priceless. I mean seriously I may have cried when Ash released Butterfree and Pidgeot but Pikachu and Charizard's episodes where they finally trusted Ash and showed the gym leaders or opponents who was boss was not only priceless but totally made my childhood the best childhood ever!

Also I really did enjoy the Battle Frontier battles not going to lie. Though I really did not like the filler episodes at all that is why that season was not my favorite just because even the fillers of season 1 were amazing and made sense and again nothing was subbed/dubbed by angry soccer mom companies like 4kids (Which being an anime fan growing up I learned to hate just because they are known to ruin shows completely. At least Adult Swim and Toonami kept everything 100%.)

I agree with the majority here, the first season will always be my favorite for a variety of reasons.

First off, Misty was one of my favorite female characters of the entire show and the energy between the three of them was great. You also can't have a good show without showing how everybody met each other. For instance, I vividly remember that sunny day when Ash borrowed Misty's bike. That is a great beginning to a friendship.

Next has to be the Pokémon, I still like all these new weird Pokémon that they are coming up with now, but the original Pokémon have to be the best. Come on, would the show still be that interesting after the first couple of seasons if Pikachu was replaced with a Pokémon that was native to that region. Also, like I mentioned earlier, the first set of Pokémon are simple, we have birds, we have, fish, and we have rocks. It's the same now, but some of the Pokémon now are much more complex.

Lastly, we have the "Hook" The first season had been a stepping stone, the basis that had led to year after year of awesomeness. If they started the show once they get to say, the third region, you can still easily follow along because of the new Pokémon, characters, evil people, etc, but the show would not have the same affect on the fans.

If they had an opportunity to recreate the first season by making the graphics better, I would be so happy. I don't mean re do the entire show, I mean take what they did already but enhance the animation. I would love to see that happen.

My favorite season of Pokemon was the.... third? I don't really know, it was the one with May and Max.

I personally really liked the first season of Pokemon, the one and only original. I have been watching Pokemon all my life, and the forst season was my favorite. I also really liked the new season, where Ash and his friends go over to Kanto and visit his old friends from Season 1. I look forward for that and that may be my new favorite!

My favourite season is season three. I think Season three is supposed to be the Heonn Region right ? Correct me if I am wrong . I like it because it has Two things . Grovyle . And May . Enough Said  

My favorite Pokemon season is definitelty the first one. I believe it was called "The Indigo League" or something along those lines.

I would say the first season. I grew up with the first season and plus team rocket was funnier back then. I think the new ones are stupid because team rocket is really lame now and pikachu is super weak now. I don't see how a super powerful pikachu gets that weak over time.
Also charizard was really funny back then. I am not sure if most people know this but the reason why charizard started listening 2 Ash was because Ash saved charizards life. Charizard got completely frozen with a ice beam and Ash stayed up all night trying 2 thaw charizard out. So basically he saved his life and after that charizard had respect for him. And then ash dumped him.

My favorite Pokemon season is probably the first one.  I loved watching it as a little kid.  Sadly, I think the anime has gone downhill.  I don't seem to like the humor they put in the new episodes.  But, I still watch them sometimes.  Just not as much as I used to.

The first season for sure. The main reason was Gary Oak. Any episode that he was on I knew that it would be good.Until he stopped Pokemon training and started to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather.
