So far, I haven't capture any shiny, the only shiny Pokemon is 2 event Pokemon that you get with a code (both are a Shiny Beldum and a Shiny Gengar) and also one Shiny Charizard I have traded. As of capturing any, I haven't as of yet.

I've caught like 5 or 6 and hatched at least 6 more. My favorite might be Serperior. Shiny Charm and Masuda Method are like answers to shiny hunters/hatchers prayers.

Ugh. That DexNav feature in OR & AS is really a time sink. I've 'kinda sorta' stopped my progress in OR to look for a shiny Numel. No luck so far. I'm pretty pleased though that Slowbro has a mega form since I evolved the shiny Slowpoke I caught in Y to a Slowbro beforehand. As for how many I've caught.... I'd say around 6 or so that I can recall.

I've caught shiny fish pokemon (Magikarp, 2 Poliwhirls, and Luvdisc), but the one's I'm really proud about are my shiny (5IV Adamant perfect) Metagross, shiny Braviary, and shiny Furret. The first one is a competitive pokemon, while the other two have IV and EV training but aren't perfect, so I'm gonna use them as travel pokemon and shiny hunt pokemon.
I also have been traded things like shiny clefable and shiny slowking, and I really like the slowking because it's 0 IV level 50. Best troll ever.

Sadly, I haven't really CAPTURED any shinies before. However, I did get a shiny starter. I wasn't even trying to, it was just random! I was re-playing my Pokemon White, and I chose Tepig, like I always do. I send him out for the first rival battle, and it turns out to be shiny! I was so shocked, I couldn't hold my excitement in. I plan to use the soft resetting methods in the future to get shinies.

LunarDarkness2 : Just make sure you obtain a foreign Ditto with perfect IVs and have it hold a destiny knot so you have a good chance for it to pass down several of its IVs. If you don't know how to get one I could probably get one for you.

I tried chain fishing for the first time on Omega Ruby and caught a shiny Sharpedo on my 40th encounter. I was glad I got one because Sharpedo is one of my favorite pokemon.

I've been playing since Red and Yellow, and then kind of stopped after Black. But, in that time, I've only seen one, and it caught me by surprise, luckily I had a level 75 Sceptile with False Swipe, and I caught a Shiny Wurmple in Ruby. I then very carefully evolved it into a Silcoon, and now I have a Shiny Beautifly, that I raised from level 3... But he still sucks in competitions and the Battle Subway.

I have caught none.
Not even the shiny Gyarados. I didn't throw a Pokeball at it because I thought it was just another common Gyarados.

And one week later I found out it was a rare one.

But nonetheless I don't feel upset. I have no idea why.
