Hey everyone, I'm trying to speed up some more activity, so I'm making this thread.   Anyways, it's pretty basic and straight to the point, What is you're favorite Mario kart power up/item.

Rules: Choose a reason for why you picked that item. 

Anyways, Mine is the bullet bill power up from mario kart wii, it's so useful when you are stuck or far away from others. and need to catch up

I like mega mushroom the best for mario kart wii, I think all of the items have their own good uses, like the red shells are good for attacking, green I mainly use for protection or to hit another racer directly in front of me, same with bananas. I think mega mushrooms and invincibility stars are the most helpful in the game to get you in a better place/position in the game. Defense wise, shells and bananas are the best for that. I think that all of the items have their uses and are good for different reasons, but that is my opinion. I like the invincibility star and mega mushroom the best though.

I like the red shell for the sheer amount of trolling you can do with it. When you get 3 red shells you can potentially slow down someone to the point where they will never catch up however sacrificing the win for yourself in the process.

Aside from that the regular murshrooms (Boosts) because the other items just seem unnessisary to me. I guess I prefer racing games to be races rather than circular brawls with magical powers and such involved. In a way you could say each track has certain "Items" in the way to help slow you down such as tornado's and chain chomps.

When I get a fake item box or banana peel I like to put them right at the end of a speed boost so someone hits it immediately and loses the boost. Also, dropping a fake item box inside a real one is a good way to slow down an opponent. They'll go for the item box and won't notice the fake one until it's too late.
