I really think it would be a terrible idea, but I have been wrong on the same subject before. What could they change about it that would make it worthwhile being it's own game without copying other voxel based games?

I don't see much point in a Minecraft 2 unless they gave it really good graphics, I mean something like Day Z and kept all the abilities of the original Minecraft like mining and creations, But Minecraft is really good as it is honestly, Most of here on Vizzed probably realize Graphics aren't nessacarily  what makes a game good, But then again I don't really play much Minecraft anymore so I guess I wouldn't have the best opinion on this thing either.

I don't think there should be one. Yes, maybe it could be just the same game with better graphics so it no longer looks like an N64 game if it couldn't render polygons. But outside of that, there isn't any reason for one. Just keep updating the original. If it can keep Team Fortress 2 alive for 7 years then by golly it can keep Minecraft around for awhile too!

With it's ability to be updated, I don't see that it's necessary. Let's just hope Mojang doesn't release DLC for Minecraft. The only reason I'd like a Minecraft 2 would be a custom engine for the game.

Nope they should not do that anytime soon especially since Minecraft is gonna release for the PS3 sometime soon they should try to make it available for consoles before they start making unnecessary sequels to the game.
