I honestly have little to no opinion of "lets plays".
At one point in the past Nintendo decided announce messing around with "lets plays" that were produced by consumers due to some Licensing and Property issues.
Later they reversed their plans and decisions on this topic and I applaud them for listening to the fans.

Now that its over?
I felt that it was a bad move for one company or another to flag or muddle with "lets plays."

I can understand a little bit of need to keep a secret, but for those who do not need spoilers? They just don't bother with viewing the footage.

Other than that? I see let's plays as a form of "free advertising". (Like many Nerd News Reporters do.)

Any thoughts on the matter can be discussed or avoided. (Or start a new thread and go there. I really do not care.)

I honestly have little to no opinion on the matter.
Just thought it might be relevant for people to know that this is another one of the few times where a company actually listens to its consumer. (Odd idea. Is it not?)

To sum up...
Thumbs up Nintendo.
Thumbs up to the Consumers and Fans that Voiced Their opinion.
Good Luck.

Good Luck To All.
I'm done. Stick a fork in me.
Peace.

I recently noticed some of my favorite lp'ers taking a while to upload and i'm sure that because of Nintendo's decision that was what was causing it.

Hopefully now Chugaaconroy and a bunch of other Nintendo lp'ers will now speed up even though they could have just lp'ed Sony and Microsoft games.

Really glad they did that. What they originally did was a bad move. Now that they heard the complaints, and realized their mistake, the change it. Good for them. Glad to see they reversed it.

I'm glad that Nintendo keeps an ear open to the fans. I hope now to see the let's playing community continue to flourish in the future.

What were they thinking? It's a good thing they came to their senses like Minecraft did, especially considering way more people do lets plays of Minecraft than Mario games and the like. Now that this is all over, I still won't do one. Whatever, but I can see why they wanted to do this, but it's not like on youtube you could play their games onli- wait a minute...

It's great that Nintendo has changed their minds and allow Let's Play videos, because I look at those videos for like a preview so I can see how the game is played so I can buy that game, that is what really brings the money in is people looking at video reviews like Let's Play.

This seems like a Really good Idea, So that way Customers will actually see gameplay with perhaps some commentary and It possibly could Make them more interested and more clear if they wanna buy a Game or not, This Is rather a real nice Thought and great idea from Nintendo's end of the bargin

I think that decision will benefit everyone, because Let's Plays and Reviews often convince people to buy games they otherwise would not have bought, either because they did not know about them or because they were not interested. Good for Nintendo.

Just another reason to love Nintendo, they learn from mistakes. I think it will be better this way, most people use Let's Plays as a walkthrough. And it can give people a chance to see what the game is before buying it themselves. And technically they aren't doing anything wrong (I don't think anyway) because they aren't playing the game through the Internet, its just watching a guy who paid full price for a game blabbing whilst showing you how you get through that one spot that you can't ever seem to get through.

This is why Nintendo is the best company. Ever. They learn from mistakes, unlike others who just sit there and keep making them. Now, my favorite LP'ers (Chugga, I'm looking at you) can get videos up faster. Plus, it's free advertising. So it's a win for everyone. Fans sit and listen to pretty awesome people playing full paid games, while Nintendo gets sales up.
