Although I like both consoles very much, I'll have to go with the Super Nintendo.

Sonic's fun and all, but other than that, the only Genesis games I really like are Golden Axe and Streets of Rage.

The SNES has Final Fantasy, Zelda, Mega Man X, better ports of Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat, Castlevania IV, Donkey Kong Country, Chrono Trigger, ActRaiser, Super Metroid, Earthbound, Mario, and countless others.

Plus, every Genesis I ever owned broke, while my Super Nintendo has lived with me for as long as I can remember.

I am a Sega man as you can probably tell from my username and picture. I have loved the Genesis since I was a very little kid and still love it to this day. I collect Sega stuff but focus on the Genesis the most. I am not a big fan of the Super Nintendo, I have one with a hand full of games and it never gets played.

There were just more games on it that I wanted to play as a child.
If I were to pick one game franchise that I had to play? The reason I wanted a S.N.E.S.?
It would be the MegaMan X Game.

I would say the Mega Drive because it does what Nintendon't, but that's just stupid.

They both have really strong libraries of games, but I feel that the SNES's is just that much more diverse. The SNES can also do things that the Mega Drive can't such as rendering 3D using the FX chip, which took Sega making the 32X for.

I prefer the Sega Genesis. Mainly because of its games. I like simple arcade style games, as opposed to the slower more elaborate games on the Super Nintendo. I like the Super Nintendo, but the Genesis just appeals to me more when it comes to games.
