Basically did you hear about the tornado in Oklahoma today, 24 people died including 9 students from elementary schools, I heard about it after I came to school today and it was so devastating to find out, and debris flew out several 1000 feet in the air and could be seen a 100 miles away. I thought it was terrible and I sort of expected this from Oklahoma, so what are your thoughts, comments or facts/news about the tornado, were you near it, and what was your reaction when you first heard about it, I was seriously shocked to find out about the debris.

Yes I heard briefly about what happened in Oklahoma. I heard that there was like 5 or 6 tornadoes going through and killing 24 people and I think 6 students from elementary schools. This is a very tragic moment in the history of the USA. Even though these twisters happen every single day out in the central part of the United States, this particular one is very tragic though. I probably never want to get close to a tornado, but I really want to see one sometime during my lifetime. I heard the tornado from my mom. She texted me during school like it was happening to our exact location right now. But that is besides the point. My prayers go out to the families whom their children or family members that have passed away.

Id just be kind of glad it was only 24 people, youre lucky at that.
That being said its certainly bad, especially since it killed kids too. Theres not a whole lot to be done about it though, you cant really stop a tornado (as far as im aware anyway).
On the plus side at least it wasnt in a more populated area.

that was sad... And the scary part is that one of the victims where on tv talking about her lost dog and they found it crawling around the ruble... a miricle on tv. I do pray for all those people that had to go through that tragedy. I wish you all the best in the future

Yeah I agree, it is tragic that it decimated 2 schools and it also killed several people, but had it been in a more populated area I can guarantee that a 2 mile wide tornado would do severe damage. It doesn't take away from the fact that it is tragic, but this sort of thing is expected in an area like Oklahoma, they have about 1,00 tornadoes a  year and a lot of them are severe like this one. Some of the adults used themselves to shield the children from harm when the walls of the school and the heavy rains destroyed the place and everything started crumbling on top of them. Some drowned because they thought it would be safe in the lower area of the school but the water poured in from the broken walls and they started to drown. This is such a tragedy.

Yep, I heard... it was all over youtube and people were going completely insane about it.

I was like "this happens often people, we will rebuild once again... people will be missed but not forgotten, and our lives will move on."

Like, I'm in Nevada... so I wouldn't know much about that, but if something bad were to happen to me when I go to California (such as a disastrous earthquake, I wouldn't want people crying over me or anything... I would want them to hold their tears and live their life to the fullest before that kind of thing happens to them too)
