This helps prevent spam or flooding of these threads. If they're going to exist, they're going to need to be relevant and important to a specific forum. No randomness or out of place games.

WHAT DOES AN ELIMINATION THREAD NEED?
It needs proper grammar, listing of the rules, how to play, and at least 20 different selections. If your topic doesn't have that many selections, then it doesn't need its own thread or game. The selections have to have 12 points. The basis for taking and giving points is taking away 2 points and adding 1. This helps the flow slightly decrease. Here's some numbers that matter in these games.

20 selections - Take 2, give 1
30 selections - Take 3, give 1
40+ selections - Take 4, give 1

The rules for these games are here.

You give 2 - points (you can split it and give minus to 2 different selections) and 1 + point.

An example:

Selection 1 - 12
Selection 2 - 8

^ copy the last post, made by the latest poster.

Selection 1 - 13 (+1)
Selection 2 - 5 (-3)

^ Those are the points you have given and taken.

And the new poster copies and we continue till we're done. And then we will start again, if the first time was a success.

Also if you can use HTML to color it, like Red color for minus and green for +'s it would be great. Bold the changes you've made so it's easier to notice. Here's the HTML so you'll know what to do.

Can I make a Mario and mother themed elimination in the Mario forum?

It won't let me edit my thread, but I made some adjustments to the selection give/take rules.

20-39 selections - Take 2, give 1
40-59 selections - Take 3, give 1
60+ selections - Take 4, give 1


Also, recycle an elimination thread. After the game in your thread is done, start another thread.

And I asked you this earlier, but you didn't respond. For the cars elimination, would Mario Kart cars be part of the Mario elimination, or would that be fine in the cars one?

Once the first one passes, you make up a list, and when that list passes, he makes one.

alexanyways : I don't really want to have to bring this thread up again, but I am. We've gotten into some problems with when the day is over for elimination. Should it be done depending on Vizzed time (Central time), or the person who's posting?

patar4097 : I always go by Central time because it makes more sense for Vizzed, since that's when things like the VCS get reset.

My MMBN style elimination game isn't listed. Does that mean I have to close it?

New rule:

This is to prevent abuse from those who overplay for Word Count +++.

Just wondering, Elimination threads in rented forums don't need to be approved by you, do they? Someone told me they did, and another person told me they didn't. Just want to know for when David opens our forum.

tgags123 : Yes, I had to go through a series of PM's with Alex when I wanted to set up the Steam Elimination and I had to set up a few good topics. The thread for our forum would obviously be SPorts game related, so I don't really know how that would be conflicted since it would also work as a video game elimination, so the topic would have to be good enough.
Here are some ideas for topics we can ask for approval.

SPorts game franchies. (Not games) (2K, MLB The Show, Madden)

List of the sports themselves
