I personally think my would be the NINTENDO DS! It had a bunch of games Pokémon,Call of duty, Scribblenauts and a bunch more. Those are my favs but post your own. My favourite DS game of all would be Scribblenauts or superscribblenauts its sooo cool and you can think of anything you want. Post your Favourite games!!!!!!!!! And Handhealds.

I'm going to agree with austipokedude, the 3DS takes the cake. Epic games, backwards compatibility with the DS, and good graphics all combine to make the Nintendo 3DS the best portable gaming console of this generation.

It's really hard to choose, honestly. I'd probably too go with the Nintendo DS, but more specifically, the Lite version. Mainly because it supports the ability to play GameBoy Advance games on them, and as such, gives me more of a rounded variety of games to play, when considering the DS selection. Some games that help make the choice for me are the Sonic Rush games, Pokemon HeartGold, and Kirby Super Star Ultra. Other than that, I really ignored the rest of the games for the system, Nya~.

This is hard to decide, mostly because it is hard to compare today's systems to the classics. But I will go with my 3ds xl. The Ds Lite was good, but on one of ours, one of the hinges broke, so I can't call that my favorite. The only thing that could make the 3ds xl better would be GBA games, but unfortunately, that won't happen. But the Gameboy Advance SP is a close second. It's mostly the memories I've had with it, but it's a great system.

Oddly enough, although there wasn't a lot of games for it, I'm going to have to go back to the Sega Game Gear. I loved the design, because it was easier to hold than a Game Boy, and the controller felt more fluid and usable. I wish there had been better games, though.

My favorite handheld BY FAR would be the Nintendo 3DS. Everything is much more fun to play in 3D, and there's cool games like Mario Kart 7 and New Super Mario Bros. 2. I also like that there's a Nintendo eShop where you can play all sorts of games, even Game Boy games (unlike the regular DS)! Oh yeah, and once I got my 3DS I completely stopped playing my DSi.

That New Wii handheld extension looks pretty rad.  I wouldn't be surprised if that one was the best handheld right now.

NoxHardigan : Actually the Wii U is classed as a console and not a handheld.

On Topic : If it was for the games and not the console itself it would have to be The Game-boy advance
Due to the fact my favourite games play on that system.

I don't know. This is a hard one. Probably the DS Lite, because you play both DS games (particularly Mario kart), and you could also play game boy games too (Pokémon).

To me handhelds mostly just get better and better, and we can so easily go back to playing older games on the newer ones. Anyway, currently my favorite handheld is the 3DS, before the 3DS came out it was almost a tie between my DSi and DSlite. I don't have a Vita, but I think it looks really, really cool, but it doesn't have enough games that interest me yet.. So yeah, c'mon Sony, step it up~

My Nintendo 3DS has been the best I handheld I have had so far, so of course it comes out as my favorite! It is pretty durable; survived a splash in a puddle and a handful of accidental drops. Can deal with being in my pocket even when I get rather sweaty, making the pocket a bit humid. Able to keep multiple games on it as if it were the wii, plus the 3D effect is a nice bonus. I also like being able to access the Internet if I would like, swap note, street pass, and the capabilities of taking picture and video! Only thing that bothered me was the price drop and the way the ambassador program worked; some people were able to benefit from the price drop AND the ambassador program!

I never had a DSi or DS lite, but instead have the original Phat DS. That thing was monstrously durable. Survived me throwing it after a rather anger inducing Mario Kart race, and had a crack on its hinge for a long time. But it still kept working! The only shoddy thing about it is its battery life not lasting very long. Used this until I got the 3DS a few years back

Game Boy Advanced (original) kind of sucked, but once I got a Game Boy SP (one that looks like an NES controller), I was loving it! The back light made all the difference compared to the eye straining I did with its original system (and predecessor Nintendo portables.

I also had a game gear, and it is tucked into my drawer still. I believe it even works still. That things was ahead of its time with the back-light AND color screen! If only it did not suck up 6 double A batteries, I would say it was better than what Nintendo was doing!

My Game Boy Color is the only Game Boy incarnation that died on me. I think dust just invaded that thing and could not get it out. Even my original game boy, despite me messing with the battery pack, still works today!
