I don't know... I love so many Pokemon. Here are the 5 Pokemon I love the most: Slaking, Golem, Gengar, Feraligatr, Garchomp. My 5 bodyguards . Slaking for the laziness and strength, Golem for the design and attack, Gengar for its humor and speed, Feraligatr for being my starter on my first HG file and supporting me, and Garchomp for its OPness and always playing a huge role in my Platinum team.

I'm honestly torn, I like Cubone because it's cute, I love Houndoom because he's cool, and I absolutely adore Manectric just because he seems very stern and strong willed. I also like Incineroar, and I'm triggered that people hate it.

I haven't played any recent gens though so there might be more I like.

Salamence. The first Gen that I ever played was Gen 3. I started out with Treecko. I must've beat Ruby/Emerald at least a dozen times. The only trainer that I ever had repeated struggles with was Drake and his Salamence. It was always that one Pokémon that I took forever to beat. Because of the trials that I have always had against it, the Pokémon grew on me.

Haven't been able to catch up with the newest Pokemon and all that cause the list must be crazy now. Aside from that, my favorite will have to be Pikachu cause you just see him so much in Pokemon.

Porygon-z because its a 3d render of a duck,and thats awesome.

Lucario. It just looks awesome, not only that but it is pretty good in battle as well. That's just lucario. MEGA lucario takes the awesomeness that is lucarios design to a whole level. Then it takes it battling power to a much much higher level, this thing is UBERS. It's one of the only non legendary Pokémon to be ubers alongside aegislash, mega metagross, mega metagross and mega salamence. 

My favorite Pokémon is and will now always will be Absol, it looks so nice and it's shiny is simply beautiful.

I'll have to pick Pikachu on this one ,because this pokemon has been featured in the Pokemon Cartoon series!

I'd go with the pokemon Charizard and it's other 2 forms ( Charmeleon, Charmander ) .  Charizard has always been my favourite pokemon ever since i looked at it because it look's really mighty and strong. The mega evolutions are also badass.

My other favorite would have to be Samuwott ,he can beat gym leaders no problem!

Although I seem like I change my pick basically once every blue moon.
But with 7 generations, it's really hard to pick, but I will describe my favorite in detail, at least my top 6.


Reshiram...
With Reshiram, I really like it's design, and it's battle cry. But I don't really 100% judge on the looks, I care more about the moveset and all, and it's exclusive move "Fusion Flare", and I like that Reshiram is one of a few dragon types where it's other type caused the dreaded Fairy type moves to cancel out and cause normal damage.


Zekrom...
To go along with my favorite region, favorite generation, and all thing Gen V, I don't want to be all one-sided, I also like Zekrom as well, just like Reshiram, I also adore Zekrom's design as well. But like I said, it's all about the moves and stats. It's exclusive move "Fusion Bolt"  is also quite impressive .


Kommo-o...
Actually, the entire Jangmo-o, Hakamo-o, Kommo-o family line is quite interesting none the less. But Kommo-o is the best one in the whole lineup, I just absolutely love the design that The Pokemon Comapny came up with Kommo-o, and would be one of the best designs in the whole series, at least to my point of view, as for the moveset, I love the moveset


Zoroark...
There is something with Zoroark that makes me want to love him a whole lot, it might just be the illusion ability, or simply the move set, or heck, maybe it's looks is just great. 


Lucario..
Yes, a lot of people considered Lucario as "overrated", but personally, not me. Just like Zoroark, I also like Lucario mostly for it's move set, and it's aura ability, and Lucario would be the only one on my team that I would Mego Evolve, if I don't use the Fightinium Z on Lucario.


Krookodile..
You know, I really kinda like a crocodile Pokemon for some reason, and I am one of those "Out of the ordinary" kinda guys, so a Ground/Dark type crocodile known as Krookodile works quite well with me, and I always love his looks and everything, and plus I always used the move "Dig" as one of my TM moves since it learns the move natually (so it wouldn't be one of those TM slaves), and I used Krookodile a lot, even after TMs were removed in Gen VII, I still use Krookodile because I love using him.


This is usually my 6 Pokemon team whenever any of you guys decided to play online against me, unless you're one of those anti-Legendary/Mythical guys, then just substitute Reshiram and Zekrom with Houndoom and Pyukumuku.

It's a 4-way tie between Plusle, Minun, Chikorita and Mawhile. Why Plusle and Minun, I don't know. Probably because they show a resemblance to Pichu and Pikachu. Why Chikorita, because it's cute. Why Mawhile, because it's funny-looking.

I have lots of favorites but narrowing down to five I have.

3. Umbreon
2. Gallade
1. Absol.
I remember encountering a shiny absol once then when I wanted to capture it I ended up killing it...

Marshadow is so damn cool. I'll admit I hacked him into my Ultra Moon save file just to try him out, and I love it. His design and his special attack are wicked cool, as well as that clutch ability which raises the attack of weaker moves.

I really like both Psyduck and Quagsire, and I actually used a Psyduck in my Let's Go: Eevee team.

Zoroark and Necrozma are also very high up on the list for me.

My favorite Pokemon has changed to Incineroar due to the Fire/Dark type, which it pulls off better than Houndoom, and it's a wrestling Pokemon, which is one of the coolest ideas ever for a Pokemon, especially because of the increased amount of quality wrestling among promotions like NJPW and ROH.

Gengar is pretty dope yo. I basically use him when I get the chance to. If I can ever get him in a 3D Pokèmon game, I will.

i probably posted this a long time ago since my answer hasnt changed in ages but i figure togepi line could always get more mentions. if i had to choose one togepi evolution id prolly go with togetic. had one in gen 2 that knew swagger fly metronome and safeguard. couldnt be given negative status effects and on the off chance you got through the confusion it had to be when togetic wasnt in the air, great times.

My favorite has not changed but this past year I've grown an immense appreciation for Archeops and I'd argue it's my third favorite Pokemon now, behind Furret and Meganium.

I used it in PokeMMO and the thing is a hard carry. It's ridiculously strong and that Acrobatics attack is the most spam-able move I've ever seen.
