So,i want you guys to tell-me about your first portable game ever.I'm not talking about consoles like Gameboy,Sega Game Gear or PSP,i'm talking about the games. You know, those little cartridges that you insert on your consoles?Yes.Let-me share a little of nostalgia with you all...
My first portable game was Pokémon Yellow for the Gameboy Color.Sure,it is a very old game, but i care about it.Portable gaming is a wonderful thing, being able to play all your favorite games on the go...sure,in the beggining we did not have such games remade for portable consoles, but then,as of now,we can play a lot of those games wherever and whenever we want.Examples : Super Mario 64,Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater,The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time,Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3,Resident Evil 5...you can play it all. So,let's get this thread started and let's talk about our first portable games ever!

Original Gameboy games are really valuable, they are your only way of transferring pokémon into the big consoles...Pokémon Stadium,Pokémon Colosseum...you can only transfer pokémons like that if you have the original gameboy games. It was really exciting to see my own pokémons in 3 Dimensions. We may have played those classic games, but there will be a future where people will ask your son what was their first handheld console, and they will answer : "My first console was a PS Vita!".

When I was around the age of ten, I played a Pokémon game I didn't own on the Gameboy Color, but the first portable game I really owned was about five years (not sure) ago, when my mother bought Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening together with a Gameboy Color from the internet, though it was already a retro console. But I like retro games, what's obvious because I'm on vizzed, and I didn't know that this website existed back then.
The first portable game I bought myself was Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team for the Nintendo DS.

[Edit reason: The game's called Blue Rescue Team, not Team Blue^^]

Mine was Cars for my Game Boy Advance SP. It wasn't very fun, but I liked it, because that was the first video game that I owned. But the next game I got, Super Mario World, was much more fun. I actually had a choice between that or Super Mario Bros. 3, and I'm glad I picked SMW. And I got the other one later, so I still got both of them.

My first games were the old Pokémon yellow, blue, red, gold and silver for the Gameboy color. My mom got these for my birthday at a garage sale. Good times.

Tetris for the Game Boy (Black and White.)....
No.
It was a Zelda game with two screens and one action button, and a directional pad.
It was basically a large clock. The bottom screen had Skeletons and Dog Men.
The top screen had a Dragon.
It was a great clock, and a silly game, but fun while waiting in line.
I think it cost me Ten to Fifteen bucks.
I can't remember any more.
It was years ago.
Watch style Graphics.
Silly high pitch noise maker.
It was easy to drive anyone nutz with that toy. Those silly noises were unbearable.
Now everyone has a high tech device to plug in ear phones.
Back in those days there was no way to eliminate the noise. After 60 seconds someone would request I turn the thing off. I would and a conversation would begin. Honestly I loved the way silly technology had a way of getting people to talk. Even if its unintentional. "Yo Yo's", "Rubicks Cubes", and other simple devices were always great at doing that.. Not to mention Cheaper and Quieter. ... I think Those were my first Portable games. (Come to think about it.)
Mark my vote for the Yo Yo and the Rubicks Cube.
Good Luck To All.
That's it. I'm Done. Stick a Fork in me.
Peace.

My first game was Pokémon Fire Red, I got it for my Game Boy Advance Sp. Unfortunately, one day my dog ate (Yes, ate) the game after my little brother played the game.

My first handheld was a Gameboy, but I can't remember what game came first. It was probably a Mario game. I know that I got Link's Awakening and the D&D game pretty close to each other.
