Bar soap. It's easier to take a bar of soap with you. You can keep the soap bar in the shower or bath much easier than a plastic pump bottle. You end up using the bar soap more slowly.

I like to go shopping for nice bath stuff, but especially hand-made bar soap.

I have always loved liquid soap better. When ever I get bar soap, I always drop it when I am in the shower, and it gets quite annoying. I end up taking 5 to 7 more minutes of washing because I always keep dropping the soap. I mean, yeah, it does give me a cleaner feeling when I'm done showering, but liquid soap is so much easier, at least for me.

I like Liquid soap better. I don't have anything against bar soap; I just don't like how you can see some hairs on the soap, kind of disgusting. Not to mention Liquid soap has a more "fresher" smell.

I'm not really a fan of liquid soap. Like Annette said, traveling with bar soap is much easier, it never explodes all over your suitcase, and it fits in a nice little box. I prefer bar soaps for bathing but liquid soaps for hand soap. It's more convenient to use liquid hand soap and that way guests can wash their hands properly. I always feel very uncomfortable using someone else's bathroom and then only having the option of using their bar soap to wash my hands with... feels weird.

Liquid soap. Bar soap sits in the shower and gets all weird and gross. Plus there's three people in my house, and frankly, I don't wanna use a bar of soap that they've rubbed on themselves.  If it was just me, or if I could guarantee that they wouldn't use my soap, but...yeah.

I do have to agree with the smell thing though-it's hard finding a liquid soap that doesn't scream HEY SMELL ME! It seems lately even the men's products are highly scented.

I always use liquid soap, i like seeing the lather because it makes me feel like aim actually scrubbing my skin clean.  With bar soap i feel like I'm just squeegeing my skin, if that makes any sense.

Bar soap leaves a thin layer of film on your skin, kind of a grunge. And the bacteria of all the times you've used it stay on the soap, bacteria multiplies becoming more and more in time so every time you use a bar of soap? You are putting all the bacteria on your skin and despite the fact you are using soap and rinsing it off, that bacteria DOES cling to you. Liquid soap doesn't have that issue. Now even though I'm telling you how bar soap is pretty terrible? I use Lava Soap ha. I'm pretty sure it's the same issue as every other bar of soap, but some things get you so dirty regular soap doesn't cut it, like when I've worked on the car, or dug up a septic tank like I had to yesterday at my buds. Lava soap takes it all off with ease. And it has a much lighter scent than others soaps. So, bar soap despite the obvious issues.
