I started playing Minecraft on the 1.2.5 update, so that was after Herobrine was removed (I thought that was a shame that I never got to play Minecraft with Herobrine in it) , but the 1.3.1 update said "removed Herobrine" a second time, so I started to wonder.   A friend also told me that he saw Herobrine very recently, he also told me that he had his fog level up to short or tiny.   That made me start a "Herobrine watch"   It's where I start in creative mode, and be on the lookout for Herobrine.   I heard some brief ominous tones, so I think either that relates to Herobrine's appearances or I'm right above a cave.   This is basically the Herobrine thread.

Herobrine isn't in minecraft, nor will he ever be in minecraft. For the removed herobrine stuff, most of the time it was just a joke, for the other times, it was because they removed some coding or textures for the human mob. (He looks exactly like steve, look in the wiki for more details)

Also, I have searched trough the files of 1.8.1, 1.0.0, and 1.2.5 and haven't found anything having to do with Herobrine, but I did find a camera model, so there is that.
