When I'm home with my parents I have to call 911 pretty frequently. My mom has epilepsy, and whenever her seizures last too long, or she falls when she has a seizure, I have to call an ambulance. My little brother can handle things as well, but I have so much experience with it at this point that I have him help get the dogs out of the way.

My sister is basically useless. She's absolutely hysterical anytime she sees my mom seize. It's probably partially my fault, but I do hope one day to teach her to relax in situations like that.

The answer is yes, One of the members of my family had serious emotional issues for a while and would often cause great harm to themselves. So i would have to ring the emergency services every time the wounds became too deep or too many etc.

Just once actually. My mother had a seizure out of the blue and me and my dad was trying to wake her up and we thought she snapped out of it but later that night she had another one and i called them and told them what was happening that i thought she was okay but the ambulance came out anyways and i'm glad they did becuase the hospital ended up keeping her for two days. It was pretty scary.

Yep... When ever my mom would drug herself into a black out I would have to call 911. That of course was when I was a kid up until the end of high school. God I'm glad that's over with... Lol I actually got to know the EMTs so well. I would offer them drink and snacks as they halled my mom away...

Yes, I've needed emergency assistance many times! I won't go into detail about every situation but I will about one incident.

Someone I knew, wouldn't really consider a close friend but an acquaintance, was threatening to kill herself. She has a past history of self mutilation so I took her threat seriously and called the police, explained the situation and her self mutilating background, and the dispatcher sent cops and an ambulance to escort her to a psychiatric facility for a psychiatric evaluation. I don't know what occurred during her time there but she was hospitalized for about a month or so and released. She later thanked me for basically saving her life.

I had to call 911 when my friend's sister almost burned the house down when she left
the stove on lucky we put out the fire before anyone actually showed up. She left the

Surprisingly I never had to. I heard of a lot of my friends did though, but half of the time it was for unnecessary reasons.
