Well i'm not for sure about being a trusted member, but i'm curios about the underground forums. I'm still learning how to make a good post and learning on how not to be a newb in chat but i'm getting a little better. So why should you be a trusted member? Post your name and reason and maybe some cool people will notice you!  If your already trusted you can list why you give or take trust points!

Well, for one, the main rule (in your case) about being trusted is to not ask for points. That's the quickest way to be in the negatives right there. Not only that, but I suggest you help out in both the vizzed market and Help/ Question - Comment / Suggestion forums. A good way to earn tp is to help people and to be nice to them. Being a trusted member is always a good thing. It means that other people on the site enjoy your posts, or other things you do on the site.

It took me a bit over 100 days to get enough Trust Points. if you do it the honest way, just being a good contributor to thread topics is a great way. If you can give good perspectives to the more serious topic forums while being respectful of others views, it helps. You could go the dishonest way and become friends with trusted members. There used to be people becoming trusted the day they registered because they knew 2 people in real life who were trusted members who just gave it to them. You don't see it as much as you  used to because now the requirement is 10 instead of 5 points, and there is an even higher restriction on determining how many points you can give someone. So it really is harder. You'll get it eventually, I'm sure. I have never seen anything negative from you, but you are still a fairly new user to the board and have 308 posts. Just gotta give it time. Like I said, it took me over 100 days to get it. Heck, it took me over 100 days to get my first trust point. But after that first one, the rest came pretty quickly.

Here are ways to prevent losing trust points when you manage to be trusted:

Do not be stupid in forums, that will embarrass yourself.

Personally I think the trust points are a little flawed. At least in the sense that some people who don't deserve trust points can earn them by being friends with the right people, while others who deserve them can go a long time without being given any. And then there's the possibility of someone accidentally offending the wrong people, and winding up with negative trust points. I'm not sure whether or not mods are encouraged to look for and reward certain members, but it seems like that would be a good way to reward users that deserve it.

As for me, I'm not really sure that I can defend the legitimacy of my trusted status. I goof off in the chat room a lot, but on the forums I try to be reasonable and mature. And I'll give trust points if I see people who repeatedly show an ability to make reasonable, well thought out posts. I'll only ever take away trust points from members who repeatedly ask for me to give them points, even after I've told them not to ask.

But if anyone got TP from me, it was cuz they were a cool, genuinely nice person. And I thought they could help out Vizzed as well. I only took TP away when someone severely ticks me off. I know its pretty early for me and the fact I've finally become a normal member, but I would like to become a trusted member because there are a few nice perks like using the special forums and of course the benefits with layouts. But more importantly I can be quite the people person and it gives me joy to help those in need and sometimes you can just end up making some awesome friends in the process. But while on the path to become a trusted member it would help me become more acquainted with the site and all of the members as well as the site staff. By now I'm sure of only seen a good part of what this crazy awesome site has to offer and I would like to see everything it has to offer to me.

I was already sold when I came across this site one day when I felt like playing an old game on my computer, but seeing that this isn't just another dull click and play site and that there is a real community here it  kind of made me happy. And now here I am as a member on this site surrounded by fellow gamers who enjoy the classics of the gaming world. To become someone who others can look to for help or just be a friend to someone is what I do best and like doing.

Why did I want to be trusted. Perhaps because I wanted to not be a normal member/ newbie anymore. I was a normal member for about 17 months, Until I decided to actually post on the boards and go into chat. It then took about 1 month or less to become trusted.

It seems to me that it becomes easier and easier to become trusted every month, Last year was okay to get trusted but now it's just stupidly easy and takes away any achievement of getting it.  

Now becoming an elite that's what I consider an achievement

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
