I love Dragon Ball Z. It was the anime that I grew up watching, but now they got Dragon Ball Z Kai. Don't get me wrong. It's good, but not as good as the original. After the last episode of Gohan defeating Cell in the Kai version. They are already getting ready to put out Dragon Ball GT on Nicktoons. Now my question is. Do you think they are overselling it? (Overusing it?) I love the DBZ series, but even I think it's time to lay it to rest with what little dignity it haves left, or a least something fresh and a new story at least. What do you guys think? Does DBZ needs to be put to rest? Or a new story?

Dragon Ball Z was my favorite anime when I was little, but I hated Kai, and what the hell happened to the Buu saga? That's ridiculous, GT sucks. I believe they should put it to rest before it destroys itself even more.

Personally, yes. They had it since the 1990s and love watching it, especially the buu saga. Dragon Ball (Before BDZ came out) was okay but GT was when everything started to suck. Really, a kid Goku going along with his grand-daughter in adventures?

I don't think it is necessarily getting old in my opinion. I rather enjoy the fact that they are still showing it because now I can talk about it with my little brother. However, what bothers me is what Dragon Ball Z Kai did to it. Not only cutting out whole episodes, but cutting out scenes from episodes to put less focus on characters they deem not as important is a crime to me. When I heard that it really makes the characters different, I was confused. But when I saw it, I understand it now. Also, the Dragon Ball Z games are getting a bit much. Every game, they pretty much go from Raditz to Omega Shenron. Same fights in each game, just different game play. That is killing it too.

Side not, the one thing I think really is overused with Dragon Ball Z is this......OVER 9000!!!!! I am sick of seeing it posted for everything.

Well.. Dragon Ball Z Kai isn't really a new show. It's just a retranslation with some things edited differently to be more suitable to American audiences.

Nah. I've already seen the whole series like three times and I still enjoy it when it's on. I don't generally watch Nikelodeon, so I only see it when my brother puts it on on the weekends, but it's still cool. Kinda nostalgic, I suppose (even if some of the stuff has been cut out and the voice actors aren't all the same).

Is it getting old? Well, the series ended a while ago. I actually wish that it was on television more in the uncut version. Kai took some of the fun out of it. Also, the theme song doesn't compare to the original.

Considering Dragon Ball Z Kai and Dragon Ball GT have nothing to do with the original DBZ, no I don't believe DBZ is being overused. Akira Toriyama had nothing to do with GT or Kai. Those are just people milking a great series for everything they can and ruining it for people.
