Yeah, I'll idle in chat when I'm doing something on my computer at the same time like playing Touhou or typing up an essay.

I noticed that all the people to reply to this thread are or were local mods at some point.

I don't like idling. If I notice I am, I feel bad about it, because I know everyone misses me and wishes I were brightening up their day and telling good jokes. That said, if I'm busy with something, I may tend to idle from time to time. Really no big deal.

I don't idle intentionally unless, i forgot that i am actually in chat and i'm too busy concentrating on something else.

If there is no one talking or i'm bored of chatting i don't tend to idle I'd rather just leave the chat because knowing my luck someone would start talking to me and would probably end up thinking i'm a rather ignorant person.

I would have to say I am a lot like sonicmcmuffin, more so because I hate to waste my Viz --even though it has little to no purpose for me right now. I idle in the chat rooms often, but that is because of the following: Usually I start idling because no one is talking. After that, I end up idling because I am off doing something else and sort of forget about the chat. And sometimes when I return to the chat, it happens to either be dead again or the topic is something I am not aware of. So after all of that has happened, I just exit out of the chat. I will just try again later.

Sometimes I leave the tab open by accident. This is the biggest reason for my idling. If the conversation is boring, I leave, but if I leave the window and forget about it, I might leave myself logged in to chat. Which sucks because then I get charged for chatroom minutes that I didn't even use. I try to avoid it. Sorry if it annoys anyone. xD
